They are re-running the test match now on Sky Sports 2. Just onto the second days play. I had my flag on the 3rd, 4th & 5th days, so look out for it.

And Kevin Whately form Auf Wiedersehn Pet! He looked like your typical colonial tourist. Alan Donald walked past us one morning - scowling, so avoided him. Bumped into Paul Allot and Bob Willis after day one's play - asked for a photo with them, Willis said "yeah, but you will have to keep up with us" and then promptly walked off. pussy! He got slagged off by quite a few folk near me for that. Arrogant tosser. Also had my piccy taken with Sylvester and the Pink Panther - both Sheffield Utd fans.

Cakes? Had some tiramisu one evening in the Butchers. Mainly steaks, etc. Quite cheap out there. Roughly ??1 - ??1.50 for a pint. A good steak, and I mean good, was around ??5-??6. Definitely piled the weight on! Only ??4.50 admission per day at the cricket, which is nearly ??34 cheaper than OT this summer. Funny story with the flag. Bought a blank St Georges for roughly ??9 on day 2 plus some permanent markers. Laid it out on the desk in hotel room and started to mark out the outline of the "B". Lifted it up to admire my handiwork.... only to notice the marker had gone straight through onto the desk! Horror! Tried my best to remove - but its still there!

Not me. It was my flag, but I was sat nearer the back in my white Bolton shirt that day. Was in red shirt on last day, missus spotted me finally - to quash rumours I had sloped off to some desert island with a willful tart.

Absolute top drawer! Great 5 days. Match swung one way and then the other. Last day was unbelievable. Could have gone 4 ways. Draw. Win SA. Win England or just stopped for bad light. At lunch it was nearly pitch black and rain was starting to fall. I went for a pint and thought that we had seen the last of the game. Then the sun came out, along with Hoggie and what transpired in the last 2 sessions was unbelievable. Even with 9 overs left, Smith and Steyn looked like they could pull off an amazing feat by claiming a draw. Then Hoggie came back on and took the last wicket. Met him in a restaurant later and had my photo took with him. Cannot repeat the abuse he gave me for being a Lancashire lad! All in good spirit though. Not sure how bad Ashley Giles injury was - but he was able to take a good photo of us, whilst Geraint Jones and Paul Collingwood looked on. Vaughan and Trescothick also came into the restaurant with their wives.

RIP Emma Harrison.
Got a text last week whilst on my travels from my missus - saying that a close friend had lost her daughter aged just 12. Turned out it was the same girl, Emma. My missus knew her mum well when they were kids and she phoned her. Her mum was happy to just speak and get things out of her system, had my missus in tears of how sad it all was. Really hit home with her, having 3 daughters as well. All our family has since donated to the fund. Another superb WW charitable effort. Who says we're all scum on here!!

BWFC Flag - Last Chance Saloon
Last call for a St Georges cross with BWFC on it. Don't want one with Leigh or Walkden on it, or any particular area in Bolton. Got offered an Ulster flag last night - but would prefer a simple flag with BWFC or Bolton Wanderers on it. Anyone? Jay C - could I get one from Vulcan?
-
FAO TRAVIS or TYLER (EH Appeal)
Right, Travis ain't taking up the offer. So its now open to anyone else on here. I can leave my ST with Jay C or Missus C. Or with my brother. No big deal either way.

If one of you will donate ??20 to the Emma Harrison appeal (see top of board), you can have my season ticket for the Arsenal game. If neither of you PM by 11am tomorrow, its up for grabs to someone else on here. I can leave with my brother if need be.

The Change In Fortune
Yep! It was a fine line being trod by the team. At half time, with the score still 0-1, I thought to myself, fcuk it, let's get behind them in the 2nd half. Which we did. At 0-1 when Horsfield went through on goal it was pissing down like you've never seen. I was soaked to the skin and feeling a bit hungover. At 0-2, I think I would have gone home. (Nothing gets past MG). (Smiley, found out!).

any of you lot on here
I always supported Morton. And got a few lads to come down. But I do remember the Airdrie connection. Especially one Bank Holiday Monday at Bloomfield Road. We stood with the lads from Airdrie who had made the trip to come and watch us.
