  1. More rejoicing in heaven... Welcome aboard!

When we lost 4-0 at home to Wigan was that before or after Wembley? I don't disagree though - he really believed his own hype and ignored the obvious patterns of failure until that point. Since then his own self confidence has been shaken and he's lashing around desperately trying to grasp a solution, unfortunately lacking the ability to make it happen. Players can see and feel it, and the spiral doesn't get better until the board change something.
  3. Squad is full of players who have looked quality and given full effort before. They didn't all become permanently lazy and shit at the same moment. New manager will clearly need to fix some of the squad balance mistakes made, but they'll get a different tune out of the same instrument pretty quickly.

Hardly fair to expect him to sort a problem when he is the problem. Same players different manager would be fine. Atmosphere and culture of a team are the manager's job, and this team is the complete mirror image of their manager - vain, arrogant, and crumble at the first sign of pressure.

Does anybody have a nagging doubt? I've felt complete certainty he couldn't do it for months now. This whole period is just a pointless limbo because win lose or draw it's plain as a pike staff we're not going up.
  6. Attitude and effort is far more about culture of the group than it is individuals. That's why it's squarely Ian's fault.
  7. is anyone going to be left to boo?
  8. Ian didn't know there were 2 brothers.
  9. That's for the board to decide.

Normally it's wins against bottom half sides that keeps the deluded on side inbetween our like clockwork losses against the top teams. Wigan have lost 3 on the spin and we can't lay a glove on them.
  11. Tasty assist by said nipper mind
  12. Didn't think you could think Carra a bigger prat and then you discover he named his son after himself.
  13. Maybe the players want him gone. In any case attitude and effort are on him - good managers don't build squads that don't try.
  14. Playing in no mans land so he has to go wondering off trying to get involved - neither a striker or a midfielder and we look short of bodies everywhere that matters
  15. Like playing with 10 men starting Mcatee - aside from having a brother who's decent and we've pissed the money up the wall, what is the basis for him being on the pitch over someone who would contribute?
  16. I actually thought we'd win comfortably today against a bottom half side at home. Nice to know Ian can still surprise.

Ian will find a way, fear not. It can't possibly be his fault, the consequences are too horrible.

And it was a dreadful performance where we were bailed out by an even worse opponent in the 2nd half - bit of a stretch to portray the last 3 games as a mixed bag - we've been way below what the level of investment should be delivering.

Indeed. We changed nothing tactically, Blackpool just capitulated for us.

Lucky fucker to meet a team even worse than us right now. Not sure he could have done much more to try and lose but results are results so the life support won't be turned off quite yet sadly.

And aggressively challenging for the cross wasn't worth a flag, but standing there was. Bloody stupid.

He'll say we were the better team and got unlucky. Daft twat.

Off-side rule is fucking mental nowadays. Trying to head the fucking thing wasn't interferring with play, but standing within 10 yards of a shot was 3 seconds later.

They've got someone managing the team. We've got Ian Evatt managing his own fragile ego.

But dropping him would be an admission he's burnt a great big pile of the club's cash, so we have to pretend he's in the best XI
