No he hasnt been consistently good. He has shot stopped well, yes, but all keepers do that, its a natural reaction. He was blessed with a hard to break down ten men in front of him prior to last season, and when they didnt perform ie Middlesborough away the season before ( 5-1?) all his deficiencies were exposed. He has no presence in his area, he squats on his line at set pieces/cosses from the wings, he doesnt organise his defence , opposing players can sit him on his arse with the first drop of a shoulder on a one on one, and his kicking, well... If he was a top keeper like his agent would like people to believe, he would have been seriously sought after and would have left us. But I`ll take back one of the "far"s.

Well I wouldnt have give him four years. And I would have made sure Al Habsi had no reason to pay up his contract. He`s a far, far better keeper than Jussi. If Jussi`s our number one next season, expect another long hard slog.
