The car park at Stanley Park is a safe option for a fiver too.

Blerim Dzemaili
Jumbo, a bloke on another website I frequent goes to a lot of reserve games and writes reports. Here's what he had to say about his 45 minute showing last night. http://www.the-wanderer.co.uk/bolton/article/648 Even though Kevin Nolan has been playing quite well recently, you should know that the comparison is not intended to be a favourable one!

Red Star Game
It's now dropped off the betting sites as being on ITV4 - most are now saying something like 'World TV'.

Red Star Game
Well, I'll be in Belgrade too, but I have seen people saying that they have seen the game advertised by ITV as being on, even if their website isn't updated. Just for the fun of it, here's another link whose information says that we're on: http://www.allomatch.com/tv-sports-program.html

Worst Miss Ever?
Bollocks. You said that even if Anelka had scored, we would still have lost 4-1 and as such his miss cost us nothing. Now then, just to show that I am a reasonable individual, I am admitting that even if we had made it in at halftime at 1-1, the balance of probabilities would still have suggested a defeat. However, we would have had a much better chance of coming away with something and Anelka's miss cost us that chance. It's not complicated and it's not contradictory. If you want to give teams like Liverpool a game, it's important that you take your chances when they come. Everything comes a lot more easily to these top teams when there's no pressure. The reason Tevez didn't casually sidefoot past Jaaskelainen last week was because he and the team were under pressure.

Worst Miss Ever?
Not really rose tinted glasses - I just don't reckon the rest of the game would have gone exactly the same way as it did, had Anelka scored. You seem to be saying it would. If we score at the 37 minute mark, it becomes a different game. Our players and fans get a lift and believe in a result and we get a bit of momentum, and Liverpool start to feel a bit of pressure and an element of "oh no, not Bolton again" creeps in. Chances are, they would still probably have beaten us had we gone in at 1-1, but it makes it a lot less likely than going in at 2-0. When Anelka, supposedly one of the most lethal men in the world, misses a chance like that, then it's only natural for even the most professional of Bolton players to turn round and say "It's probably not our day today". That miss probably had a negative impact on our performance that wouldn't have been there if Reina and Carragher hadn't fucked up and the chance had never arisen.

Worst Miss Ever?
Ok,so Holdsworth's miss was more important, but I can't agree that it didn't matter whether Anelka scored or not. Goals change games, as they say, and rather than being 1-1 after 37 minutes, we were 2-0 down after 42 - if we'd gone in at 1-1 the game would have still been very much alive. 2-0 down was pretty much game over, and that's exactly how the players saw it.

Worst Miss Ever?
Jardel against Gillingham at home in one of the cups a few seasons back.

Them Pricks
Couldn't agree more. As if that atmosphere and attendance wasn't embarrassing enough without that.

Nolan Suspended For Liverpool?
I mean nobody else can come up with those 5 bookings. As I say, even the information on the official site lists him as having 4.
-
Nolan Suspended For Liverpool?
Yeah, not having a go, but both of those are in the first 2 posts in this thread. But nobody I've spoken to can work out why.
-
Nolan Suspended For Liverpool?
What's your source? I don't know why, but as soon as he said it on MOTD it just didn't sound right. Maybe I am autistic after all.... Having said that, Nolan did seem to be very disappointed when he was booked, suggesting he thought he was due a suspension.
-
Nolan Suspended For Liverpool?
Yeah, the FA just talk about 'First Team Competitive Matches'. And Diouf served a suspension for having 4 in the league, one in the cup. I still make Nolan just the four in the league though, and he's not listed as having picked up one against Fulham or City.

Nolan Suspended For Liverpool?
Well, I suppose that's it then. Don't suppose anyone can remember the fifth? United Birmingham Arsenal Boro ???????? Just seems odd that every website I have checked has the wrong info. Maybe they've chalked up one of them to that Ian Nolan chap we always hear about....
-
Nolan Suspended For Liverpool?
Right, MOTD said it, football extra said it, and now the official site is saying it - Kevin Nolan is suspended for the Liverpool game after picking up his 5th yellow of the season against United. http://www.bwfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Gener...1176147,00.html Now, I don't disagree that Nicky Hunt has had 5, but I'm sure, after going through the BBC results ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...lts/default.stm ), that Nolan has only been booked 4 times in the league this season. Despite carrying the above story, the official site also seems to count them up and come to four: http://www.bwfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Disci...0071004,00.html As does ESPN, useful for stats if nothing else: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/stats/playerd...525&cc=5739 Has anyone got a clue what's going on? I'd really rather Kevin didn't miss the Anfield trip.

Bolton Shirt On Sale
Alright mate, it is a very nice thing, especially seeing as you have received it directly from the Club, but I think you'll get the price of an Easy Jet flight for it at best. I have no idea what you would consider to be a fair price for it, but Ebay is a very good indication of what it's 'worth'. If I were you, I'd have it put in a frame and hang it on my office wall!
-
Bolton Shirt On Sale
Oh absolutely - that's why these things go for relatively low prices. Thing is, anyone who might want one knows this, so the Ebay market is effectively THE market for them.
-
Bolton Shirt On Sale
I have to say Jumbo that Ebay is usually a fair representation of the market value for these things - items like this are rarely sold for as much money as people might think they are worth. My advice would be to put it on Ebay with a reserve price, if he really does want to sell it.

Newcastle
He was one of my favourites, TF. Lee not rating him was perhaps the single greatest indication to me that he might not be up to it. You wouldn't lose too many matches if you had 9 Fayes, a striker, and Jaaskelainen.

One Thing Megson Should Do
Actually, looking at it more closely there are more than a few names in that squad list that shouldn't be there, so perhaps that's not the most reliable source! The official site does have Nolan on 4 and Hunt on 5 though. http://www.bwfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Disci...0071004,00.html
-
One Thing Megson Should Do
Yep, using the BBC's results info, that's what I get too. Plus, this site is up to date with yesterday's match and only lists him as having 4 bookings. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/fo/teams/plyused/569.html
-
One Thing Megson Should Do
As far as I can tell, Nolan has only had 4 bookings this season, and so shouldn't be suspended.

Anelka
Does Anelka ever ooze class for 90 minutes though? Fair enough, he's a striker so if he pokes his goal in like he did yesterday, then that's what he's there for - how much else did he do though? Anelka helps teams because he often has one or two lethal moments a match, not because he terrorises the opposition for 90 mins. For someone who did ooze class every minute he was on the pitch, it's Djorkaeff for me, and I can't imagine what he was like at the height of his powers.
