Match report is on the fb page, accessed via an ap under the main banner. It's entitled "Match Report - a fanseye view". The Palace one is up now, if you want to give that a read then I'd do it soon or the Leeds one will replace it.

It's interesting as a question actually. I understand why you've reacted like that, but then the lads have to have down time at some stage and the club are just trying to show they're actually normal lads. Right, they have the best job in the world and money most of us will never seen, but they have fun and relax like anyone else. I understand why it pisses you off, as it's like "we lost, fuck it let's play FIFA" - so maybe that picture hasn't communicated what it meant to. I think that's great feedback, thanks.

I'd only do it if I could have the same editorial control as I do with match reports. The issue there, would be me writing something personally sensitive, or something another team's manager could use. How I think it would work is I'd send courtesy copies to Owen, Phil etc and say "what have I put in this which is a problem?". If something was, I'd sit down and discuss it and if they could convince me they're write I'd edit it. Now that's not how the match reports work, I did send Phil a copy of that and he showed Owen, but it went up as is and nobody was invited for comment. A behind the scenes thing is a different animal and I'd need some form of approval on certain issues. For example, if I said "and player x has an injury" then an opposition manager can say to his player "hit him there and see what it does". So it's not as simple as a match we all already saw. But it would be honest, there's no issue there - or I'd not publish it.

Someone on another forum asked for a summary of what my morning at Euxton was like and I thought maybe it could form the basis of a short blog thing. A sort of "what's it like for a fan to go into BWFC and see what happens?" type thing. Would anyone here bother reading it? Would it interest people?

That's fine then. Like I say, as far as I know he doesn't now and I think that's right. It could well be that he got a tweet, looked at some of the quotes and retweeted. Honestly, I may have done the same thing. It's always daft when you generalise, but I've read things from groups on facebook or somewhere and thought "group of 'x'" - we all do daft stuff. Personally, having met the guy, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt that he meant it as against the posts and their not being deleted by an admin. If they have been, I'm sure Phil would say he didn't mean those not involved. But like I say, I'm just talking having met him, not from him.

Owen's not been sacked. I won't always be able to do this sort of thing, but I can tell you he's not been sacked. Simply not true.

It was interesting actually, to be at the press conference, and I want to see what's printed of Coyle's point of view. There were the usual soundbites of penalties and harsh decisions etc - and if that is all they print I'll find that revealing. Owen also said we dominated the game but lacked quality i the final third and our finishing was poor etc. His analysis was spot on, but I'm not sure that'll make the press. If the soundbites are all that make it, I'll ask about writing my own bit to get a better feel for what he says.

He's been busy, mate Those who are not interested in the concept, that's fine. The thing is, Carlos, if we did it as "I'll phone him, tweet him etc" it's not like he can reply to dozens of fans. But I could have a go at it. Sometimes, it'll just be a no-go, or personal info, or sensitive for playing or commercial reasons - but it's worth a try. As to the "hot reception", not a problem at all. One thing though, if you feel personally insulted by Phil Gartside, I'm not Phil - to be honest, given some of the things said at first on that thread I'd have viewed it poorly too, but no forum is entirely bad or entirely good. As to wanting to talk to Manny Road - I'm not doing this for Manny Road. I went in as a fan and pointed out issues, and now I'm having a look at how issues can be sorted. If I can be of any benefit to other fans, great. If I can't, I've failed and that'll suck. As I've said elsewhere, it's worth a go.
