I wouldn't want to have to sit through the first half again, but in a way I was impressed by it. Freedman basically sent them out as though we were any other lower Championship side facing the top of the league, which is exactly what we are. There was preseason talk of walking the league, and constant talk of us being a Premier League side etc - we are where we are on form and we have to earn the right to play. We spoiled in the first half, and would have taken a draw in at half time were it not for some sleepy defending and what looked an error from Bogdan. Second half was a better show, the manager made changes to win it and we did - job done. Cardiff are a good side, but we ground the game out for long enough that they couldn't impose any quality and we then imposed ours. We then shut up shop and made sure we got three points. I was muttering after the first half, but the approach was right I think.

What's that saying, a week is a long time in football? I think most of what I said was right though and none of it was untrue when I said it - just that things changed fairly rapidly. Can't really do more than go off what I'm told.

Hmm.....well, let's get a few bits of that right. I said I'd seen one training session and that was it, in which we focused on finishing. Spearing was really good. I don't think we'll break even this year, but as it's a long term plan I'm not sure that means it's not going to plan. I don't think more money is going on the academy than the first team, but we have invested in the academy as part of a long-term policy. I do think a fans forum at the minute would be hard to sell as an idea, yes. I don't know what's meant about two years sustainable income needed to "get shut" of Owen. You guys mentioned 7mil I think and I said I've got no idea how much it would cost, but I can't imagine it'd cost 7mil. *edit* did you mean when I said we'd risk two years of investment? What I meant was if a new boss wanted to do things differently. I'd love to get people involved in terms of a fan's group and it was nice to meet you guys.

Sometimes I do and sometimes Phil does. I think what needs to happen is for more of Phil's overall views and personality to be put out there. Now, it might be that he's a shit chairman (I don't think so from what I've seen, but there you fo - it's one opinion) - but there's no reason for the guy to be hated for that if it's the case. Same as what i'd hate to see is Owen be abused personally by fans because he's not winning games. My position is that you slate the job and leave the bloke alone. But I accept that's just a personal view and it's informed by meeting people.
