  1. Howdo, I've just heard one of the ragamuffins in our street blowing one - they sound as loud as everyone says. I had a look out of the window and it's only about a foot long, feck knows how loud the big 'uns are. Depending on the 'ingenuity' of the pound shops/lighter salesmen, and the gullibility of the English public, I predict that by the Slovenia match there'll be a chorus of vulvas 'in the flesh' to accompany those on telly.
  2. Sammy Lee - for all his positives, no...Roy McFarland - he started the rot. I blame Harold Shipman - the rotten old bugger.
  3. We all seem to be speculating on who we want rather than who'll we'll get...counterproductive, I reckon Wigley (sic) interim tenure, with another subsequent rubbish, uninspiring "People who know football..." statement before announcing another the appointment of another yes man who will keep us up by the skin of his teeth, But for all that no excuses - anyone who's ever played know what matters - wear your heart on your sleeve and play to the best of your ability - not imagining what your off doing in the afternoon - Vague clumsy tatoos etc. We'd kill for the 'job' you do...rant over, and knocking the beer on the head too!
  4. I once happened to be walking up to Daubhill after we'd been mauled by Derby County I think, Owen Coyle was traipsing out of McDonalds (aka Roundhouse) with a quite hefty bag 'o Mc'sh*te... for that reason Iamout. Reidy seems even more 'old school' than Megson - judging by that documentary a few years back. Whomever it is we can't automatically get the pitchforks/bedsheets and joggers out. Hopefully PG won't spit in our face again, once bitten...
  5. Why not Graham Taylor and Carlton Palmer? - they'd be the dream team, we could even get that bloke who gobbed at 'turnip' as assistant coach/motivator.
  6. Not being antagonistic but go on then Dan who would your choice be? Money no object etc.
  7. Well fair play for following Scottish 'football', I mean to watch it every week but there's usually Kabbadi or Powerboating on one of the other channels so...Let's just recap on our possibles - Jewell? Peter 'weak as piss' Reid (great player - shite manager)? Southgate? Sunbed? Martin Jol (What planet are some on?) - Being realistic...Boothroyd?? Ince? it just gets worse, If crusty puppets Rage against the Machine can be number one why can't WE have our say?
  8. 'Hats into the ring' implies speculation and discussion, but you make a fair point and I was only thinking out loud. All I was thinking was Hendry (Gazza skinning him aside) was an exceptional player and I think will make an exceptional manager for whoever takes a punt on him...discuss
  9. Just trying to lighten the mood, was never tempted to don the grey marls and somewhat had my head buried in the sand, glad he's gone now, on the proviso that... We're going to not going get either: Jewell (unstable, probably a nice bloke but...) Phil Brown? I saw him on SSN on mute in the pub earlier and the general consensus was...no ambition - this was just at the sight of sunbed on the telly. I think we should look abroad, If they're unemployed the unemployed for a reason - Hughes wouldn't even think about it, and EVEN if he did how many games grace would he get? DMB and bedsheets at the ready. I say Rene Artois from "Allo Allo"
  10. Bruno N'Gotty? Hell and freezes spring to mind...someone who the players would think twice about being snide with, FSA for all his faults probably would've nipped any insurrections in the bud. Eureka - that bloke off "It ain't half hot mum" - Barabra Windsor or something - he could even inspire a new flavour at the Nandos...
  11. I'll join you in that, in fact I'm coming over all mystic Meg[son]... Paul Jewell quits as Wanderers boss - Keef Lard writing for MirrorFootball.co.uk ...continued unhappy spell at the Reebok Stadium after a late Dean Windass goal handed the Trotters a sixth defeat in nine games, sparking chants of "Jewell out" at the final whistle...
  12. First post so, Alreet everyone. I felt nothing but resigned emptiness upon hearing of this. I was being dropped off at Bolton train station and heard the phrases 'Bolton Wanderers 'immediate effect' and 'capitulation' - this didn't confirm it and I had no inclination to get my mobile out to do so. It reminds me of Roy McFarland, never popular, bad P.R. , more luck than judgement and the board riding roughshod against the wishes of the support. Time will tell but the Hull draw seems like a bit of a decided juncture to me? and for my two-'pennorth - Zenga? shhhhhitte...But Wrigley in a 'wait and see' scenario with the predictable dead cat bounce (sorry using sh*thouse speak) would be even more unnerving.
