Should that really be the case though? Players should be fighting for there places, you bring him here with the promise of starting no matter what then your basically giving him licence to turn up when he wants That goes for any player who comes

I'm not denying it probably would be better to look elsewhere but if it did come off which I agree with the majority I doubt it will he would be part of the first team squad. I can't see him playing alongside Davies there to similar in my eyes If he does the job fair enough he starts every week but if say we got him loan with the option to buy at the end of the season then it's win win. Were not forced to play him but if he did come and it was a choice between Davies and Bendtner then I'd plump for Bendtner He'd fit in in my eyes but wouldn't be an ideal signing with the present squad in mind. Would take Bendtner any day of the week. Only 23 as well so could be looking long term replacement for Davies. He's got the stature for it, target man and full of running I think he'd be ideal here
