How do you see it playing out from now then? Has Ken got any chance of keeping control to go to liquidation?

But they allow Ken to get more for himself, he hasn't completed the deal in time if they're making an offer. Can't see how he loses here. Sure you said if he tries to broker a better deal they'd withdraw the offer and call the shares in, which wouldn't have Ken win.

But they're offering £2m as they aren't likely to sort it in time, so if they want it they turn down the offer and call the shares in.

Sounds like they don't really want it then? Going from investing £30/40m+ or whatever it comes to, to taking £2m. Doesn't seem like much in the scale of what the investment levels would suggest they'd want out of it.

Hopefully this is just the play for more money we've been expecting from Ken and not a serious bid.

Think you mentioned any other bidder will have to pay c£30m as the other bidder has agreed to clear all the debt? Couldn't someone pay Kens price and HMRC etc keeping the other debt (PBP/ Warburton etc) as it is?

Potential that he tried to get more but couldn't and wants to complete with them before they take the shares? Kind of hoping we get Howard's bidder now, even though we don't really know anything about them.

Possibly, he also implied he wished he didn't bother with the replies he got. I doubt 442 needed the press. The only mention of DM I can see is someone asking for clues, which people replied 'is that a hint or asking for a message?' So if there was something else I must have missed it.

Yeah for me the fourfourtwo guy describing it as "amazing" makes me think someone like Beckham. If a random other club got investment from a sheikh or similar I'd not really care, definitely wouldn't say amazing. So for a Leeds fan to say that it makes you think it's someone famous/ unusual.

Think it was more hopeful than likely. I'm not sure if that rules him out or not. Howard mentioned some people like the spotlight and some like to quietly go about their business, in regard to it not leaking. I don't think Beckham would fall in to the latter if involved?

Won't he want a contingency plan though? He's losing power the closer it gets to the 2nd, will he not want someone lined up if they haven't settled the deal with a few days to spare?
