Rather than the other way round which Nixon is suggesting. Can't see why the hotel admin would pick the other bidder if everything else is sorted for the club side.

He's saying they're not preferred bidder. Which is what I assumed he would. If they actually want it (and exist) they should definitely make it known. Doesn't seem like they will get it doing what they're doing Nixon has previously said everyone knows of them who needs to. And the statement reads like they're open to other parties making an offer but there haven't been any.

Surely it should be reported if the admins are blocking a legitimate bid? He's basically said the admins statement isnt right with regards to the hotel deal on Friday. Can't see why someone would wait around for this long wanting the club without saying anything.

Yeah Nixon is potentially just spinning the delay to make it look like he was right all along. If it completes monday, he'll say they blocked anyone else taking the hotel so the others walked away or something.

If the takeover completes soon and the players get the pay they are owed, do any notices given become void? I don't mind if any of them want to go, but we'd be in a position to ask for a fee at least.

I thought Nixon was having a go at how much money they have rather than saying it's close (maybe both). His previous post was asking why they were buying the club if they couldn't pay everyone off.

I think you're probably right, all of our attempts to find the next hidden gem on a budget haven't been successful either. Think sometimes a team just seem to fit a striker, hopefully we can get that with someone next season.

We've not seemed to have a goalscorer in years. I was on our season history at some point a while ago and looked at Leeds to compare. Our top scorer since going down has 12, 9, 8, 7, 10, 10, 7. One of those being a league 1 season. Leeds in that time 19, 29, 10, 13, 30, 14, 15. I'm sure there are others more similar, but there must be something in our recruitment/ style or something that we have never had a big scorer.

Add to that the fact FV have been in a similar position before and couldn't finalise the deal. Which we don't know the actual reason for. Any legal reasons you feel would be announced as the delay now though. There's nothing we can do and it's all still speculation. Just hope it's cleared up soon, as you say we've got to throw a squad and preseason together.

I'm not sure, could be something like you guess. That does fit with the non public message. "If it’s not done on schedule then there’s a problem. Not the case just now." That's the bit that is a bit strange. Someone involved could potentially pull out, but they haven't yet? What schedule is it in line with too? Completion next week? Because we're a week behind the HoT schedule.

Iles has tweeted that no one around the club has heard it. Doesn't really fit in with where we are at. If the story ran when we didn't know the 5 bidders it would have fit better.

Is it possible either the trust or FV have agreed some sort of bonus for all this to be done quickly? Seems strange how fast it's all happening, even with this delay. We were looking at other admin teams that had taken 9 months recently. Administrators at other clubs didn't seem to rush to avoid leaving the first team short or with too little quality.

"we think it’s deal done. Don’t want to spread any fake news so waiting for sources to find out" They claim they think announcement today or tomorrow. Seems like the obvious guess to be honest. Hopefully it's more than just HoT if there is an announcement.
