Dont really watch his video's. Irritates the fuck out of me. Posh spoilt wanker!
  2. Crap protest. The ultimate protest as always is to simply not attend. Or instead travel to the ground but not enter and remain outside throughout. This firstly hits these people in the only place that they feel pain and secondly shows solidarity. People will say this hurts the club and doesn't support the team. Maybe but unfortunately in these situations......you cant do both.
  3. My point is you are an idiot, if you don't see my point. Or do i have to feed it to you on a spoon?
  4. Exactly . You are totally missing the point. Owning such a huge facility like the macron Stadium comes with huge overheads empty or full.. If you have a good well-paid job you can afford to run a large house. You can afford to heat it, power it and maintain it.if you lose that good job you may no longer be able to afford to run such a large house. whether a house is full or empty similar overheads still apply. Yes you may save a bit on electricity and heating but your rent and your council tax and maintenance don't really change . My point is Bolton Wanderers currently have a job if you want to put it that way that barely keep their head above water. How could the club afford to keep hold of such a large facility in a lower league? You see others manage. And yes they do but they tend to have huge revenues. It's an inherent problem with football stadiums. They are extremely expensive to build and maintain and also cover a large area which brings its own problems. It's very difficult to get any sort of stadium to pay its way. That is why a lot of stadiums her bill for multi purposes. Look at Tranmere Rovers or Stockport County. Are you telling me right now but the people paying the bills bills football clubs which at this moment in time they had a little bit of a smaller ground . Surely if Bolton Wanderers were relegated to league one Or kindred league two and ended up staying there, would the really be Able able to keep hold of Macron stadium. must be near impossible.
  5. Yes. I was taking all that into Consideration. Even on a good day I would say 60% of the stadium is empty if you don't count the stands obviously.
  6. Problem solved! You my friend are a genius. You should give Ken a call.
  7. AgaIn though. How much does that actually cost? It all add up. It's a Huge building of which a large majority is empty most days.
  8. Regarding the stadium being too big if we where lower down the league ladder. If you consider that the electricity bill is £1million a year, I would say a lower league club would find that kind of thing crippling. It's bad enough now at championship level. The place needs a good clean and paint. Think of the costs associated with that. What I'm saying is a facility such as the Macron can be too much to maintain for a lower league club. Unfortunately there is no alternative. I'm sure we will be fine though.
  9. I'm pretty sure that without the Hotel the club would have gone under by now. Its a thriving business which has been stated in chairmans statements and the BN. Losing the Hotel would be a bit of a disaster.
  10. Unfortunately this goes much deeper than this. Bolton Wanderers don't seem to think they should pay bills to pretty much anybody. From what I hear the place is a joke at the moment and Ken has certainly fallen out of favour within the club.
  11. Understand you're point, and agree to an extent. I just dont see the point of the compromise of rail seats. There just needs to be a change in mindset such as persons above who have this misconception that normal terraces should not come back due to safety concerns. Well controlled small terraces (and large ones for that matter) are not dangerous, as is proven in countries like Germany. Lets face it. All seater stadiums are tosh. English football is actually a bit boring. Its no coincidence that some of Boltons largest away followings this season where because of the prospect of standing on terraces. Lets bring back beer in the stands too while we are at it and return football to the fans. The only thing holding football back are the money men and a certain generation of people who had it drilled into them that terraces are a bad thing. Who wants to sit at football? I know some do but a large preportion dont want to. My point is that I'm all for the installation of rail seats, but I just see them as a pretty rubbish compromise and it's sad we cant have real football stadiums in this country (inside the top 2 leagues anyway). My other issue with rail seats is that they can fix them down and make a game a seating game. So you can guarantee when the big games come they will try to stifle the atmosphere by doing this. Remember, the people who make these decisions dont really want all this. They want subdued family middleclass hot chocolate supping football.
  12. Or we could just leave it and stand anyway.........
  13. Nonsense! Are they not real terraces they have in germany? No problems there. Did terracing cause the Hillbrough Disaster. No. Poor policing, overcrowding etc did. I go to Germany all the time to watch football in normal terraces with no issues. Its amazing what you can do by making games all ticket, using sufficient crowd control and adequate policing. If you dont have a ticket, you dont get in. Simple. Sorry sweep but that post Hillbrough view is very outdated these days, has been shown to be wrong and to the detriment of football.......Dont they have terraces in Rugby?......Dont remember there being a crowd disaster in that game. Its 2017 not the 1980's.
  14. And here is the terrace at Dortmund. As you can see again. Not rail seats. We are not getting terracing like they have in Germany....... Not really......... And to really confuse matters. Read this. http://www.fsf.org.uk/campaigns/safe-standing/the-legalities-of-standing/ Atm we have a standing area in the corner. Idealy the removal of the seats would be great. The installation of rail seats does not really make any difference whatsoever. If you wish to stand at a Bolton game, just get a ticket for under the screen. the more that do it, the bigger the area becomes. Simples.
