Agreed. I was thinking more Kevin Davies and David Wheater who revived their careers, than this shower now.

We've had free transfers and cast offs before, and struggled, but what we had before was a club captain, or at least a leader who could get the aforementioned castoffs motivated. From top to bottom now we have nowt. I've not seen anybody pointing except in blame for ages. Nor a fist raised in encouragement all season.

Thanks Gonzo. More or less as I thought. I'm only a council school lad, and some of the financial stuff was making my head fall off. As I have said before, I'm not bothered about the nuts and bolts of it, I just want my club back.If I know it's going to be next season I can wait, but stumbling from one wobbly step to another is (as the young might say) doing my head in.

You know how I'm not bothered about anybody else, except Bolton Wanderers, and I just wish it was all over. Well I've not had the patience to read all this, so can someone please give me a short precis of how Howardgate turned out? Did he get rumbled as a baddie, or bullshitter or what? Thanks in advance.

For me, providing we are still going, and debt free (and therefore one of the richest clubs in the league) I couldn't give a shiney one if the owner is the late, great Attila the Hun with Genghis as manager. I just want us to be living within our means and not be in the papers every fucking day stumbling from one disaster from the other, a laughing stock of every no-mark tinpot club in the country.
