There'll be a lot of posts made with anger and emotion tonight mate, I've probably been guilty of a few myself. Proper gutting me this. Enjoyed last season like no other in a while until the very end. Thought we might not challenge as well as some expected but I'm truly shocked by how quickly things have got so shit. And the amount of money we've spent to get here 😳. Said it before the season we should've gone another direction. And definitely after Huddersfield when he said he didn't have any answers. Literally what he's paid for. It's only football but christ it makes you feel shit at times.

Balls down the channels. Turn the defence around, and chase them into the corners forcing them to play the ball. Fairly simple and fairly effective. Won't make you championship ready though when you get there 😒

It's depressing the amount of teams we give an easy ride to. Today, Huddersfield and Wigan certainly spring to mind this year. Always pissed off to lose but never really being in with a chance in games is just embarrassing.

I think he'll miss sitters even when he starts, but what he does give us is that defending from the front thing. At least the centre halves know they're in a game. Them today barely saw any pressure at all, Dion would harassed them at the very least.

I think the players are mostly good enough for this level, but the glaringly obvious problem is the lack of balance in the team. How many headers and second balls did we win today ? Not enough. Different times (and much better players of course), but fat Sam set up to earn the right to play our football in the right areas. We insist on playing football from our own 6 yard box and the players just aren't good enough unfortunately. That's the manager's philosophy.

Another game where the other team looked like they had 3 or 4 more men on the pitch than us. Another game where the opposition fans will look and think that's the easiest game they've had all season. Weak, both physically and mentally. Has to change now, doesn't it ?

This. And I'm not sure we could afford to get so many things wrong. Not my money like, but it is our club and we're not far removed from going pop.

Absolutely nothing against the lad and hope he's a star for us. But unless say, Sheehan is leaving, I don't think he was our top priority. Anyway, we'll see 🤞

Is his contract not up in the summer mate ? Honestly don't know. If so, I think the only way he carries on is if we somehow get promoted. His position would be untenable for me, given all the backing he's had.

So fairly typical of the type of goals we concede. (Christ, we must have more assists for the opposition than ourselves 😄) Please don't take my posts as defending Evatt, I think the man's a complete baffoon and some of his team selection are baffling to me. But been saying all season put the ball into areas where the other teams can mess up. We finally did it, hope we carry on.

Don't disagree with any of that. Also pretty sure you aren't the type who wants us to lose games so the manager gets sacked. I don't think we're going up but am resigned to the fact that IE is here for the duration. Still hoping him and the players somehow pull off a miracle.

Oh we're well down the rabbit hole, I agree. And I'm probably on the same side of the fence as you on this. But in the space of 5 minutes I've gone from thinking "if this carries on we're going down" to, " this is great, it's happening ". Crackers I know, and no doubt I'll be doom and gloom again next week. But right now I'm still giddy as fuck we pulled out a win.
