Trying to win it is dead, for the likes of us, agreed.

But if we get drawn at Man U or Everton in R3 (with a championship squad rather than a L1 squad), its a great day out/event for us and a game to create memories for the youth if nothing else.

And that's without considering the commercial benefits.

On a wider scale, watching Macc beat Palace, Vale beat Sunderland etc.

Say what you like about the FA Cup, but it throws up fixtures and stories that you just don't get in the league.
