Sweep
Just a quick post to ask for some advice. Last year my father passed away unfortunately. I have been left with his collection of football programmes which is mainly (but not just) all the home programmes from the mid-70's up into the mid-80's. Altogether there are a few hundred of them. The sad fact of the matter is if I keep them, they will just sit in the loft and gather dust, so I have decided that I want to sell them, and give any money raised to the Bolton Hospice who looked after him so well in his final days. Can anybody recommed the best way to sell them, I don't really want to use Ebay, as I want them to go to a true Wanderers fan who will look after them, and not just try to sell them on. As an ST holder for 30 or so years, he would want them to go to Bolton fans - which is understandable Anybody got any ideas? Alternatively, if anybody has any particular programmes missing from their collection, I might be able to help them out (in return for a small donation to the Hospice) Anyway, I will be cataloging the entire collection over the next few days and will post it on here when it is complete incase anybody is interested. Cheers for reading
Guest Biff
Programmes after 1960 are not really worth a lot of money unless they are for some specific games eg a club's first or last league match or if not many programmes were sold for a particular game. Sweep
I thought that might be the case to be honest. I know which ones of the collection have some value, and which I want to keep for sentimental value, as for the rest, I would really want to find a good home for them. Anybody have any ideas of where I could get rid of them? I don't mind giving them away to somebody who will look after them and treat them with a bit of respect. Guest Holly_Goodhead
The programme from the FA Cup tie at Coventry in 86/87 goes for about a tenner on ebay. They won the FA Cup that year which has made the programmes in their cup run quite valuable.
