December 4, 200322 yr if you loose the league cup final you dont qualify - even if the winners are in the champs league
December 4, 200322 yr The way we're performing at the moment we may be in the Champions league anyway! Alright - I can dream, can't I?
December 4, 200322 yr i was under the impression that another place in the league was allocated. I think it's the FA Cup in which the loser can qualify for UEFA if the other winning team have already done so. Seem to remember birmingham not qualifying when they lost to Liverpool and they'd already qualifed for Euorpe even though they'd won the Worthington cup.
December 4, 200322 yr I think they brought this rule in when we lost to Liverpool in the Coca-Cola final - anything to keep us out of Europe!
December 4, 200322 yr aye, I think thats right about another league place. I dont know how many UEFA places we get from the off, but it must be at least 2, so there could be 3 more if one of the champs league people won the league cup and two champs league people got to the FA cup final; so if Arsenal win the league cup and Chelski stuff ManUre in the FA cup final then 9th place would get you into europe. I wonder..... Anyhow, there's always the fair play league and an idle glance at the list of reds/yellows in the paper last saturday showed us to be doing pretty well in that too (have we had any red cards yet??). Bosnia here we come!!

December 4, 200322 yr how come the poll results add up to 102%. me being thick & all that fought it only went to 100% toodle pip
December 4, 200322 yr From the Evening News tonight- who's right? The excitement is heightened by the fact that a UEFA Cup place is getting tantalisingly close. Wanderers may only have to beat Southampton and their two-legged semi-final opponents to get into Europe next season if the other finalists turn out to be either Chelsea or Arsenal who look destined to win Champions League places.
December 4, 200322 yr youri reckons he is looking forward to a full house for the next game. shall i tell him or you?
December 4, 200322 yr youri reckons he is looking forward to a full house for the next game. shall i tell him or you? You misunderstand, smiths. It's being shown live on one of those dodgy foreign satellite channels and he's invited a bunch of the lads round to his place to watch it and have a few beers.
