I have all but struck a deal with a company that had plenty of success in arranging Boro's venture into Europe last season.

More details will follow....

whats this all about? travel arrangements etc?

For those that don't want to travel with the 'official' scarving wearing nerds, WWays will be doing their 'own thing'.

I've spoken to the chap who owns the company today and we ran through various options. Not rocket science, just common sense stuff.

When the draw is made, craft will be charterd. Depending on the location will have a bearing on how many nights will be on offer to stay over.

Examples:

If it's in back-of-beyond in Poland let's say, then it would be expected to flight in and out on the same day.

If it's a half decent place/team, then expect to stay the night before and fly back after the game.

It it's a 'top' place, for arguements sake, Lisbon, then expect deals for 2-3 nights.

Ideally I would like to have names which will give me an idea of how many wish to travel with WWays.

It's all done above board and may be cheaper than other offers.

Some of you will be asking what will HW get out of this, well I'll be up front. All I'm asking is a free flight from the operator.

Hope this clears a few matters up, but of course not everyone will accept any of this and always find a point to argue over.

I asked Robert from Boro a few questions and his reponse was...

Hi Neil - I'd recommend them to you for definite - they gave a first class service to every destination. They really nkow the business inside and out and totally look after the fans/passengers. Miles and Paul are top blokes really nice to work with and always helpful. I would definitely work with them ahead of any of the other operators.

Price wise they are very fair - you may get cheaper but they won't let you down with the quality of service, hotels, transfers etc. You'll probably find them far more reliable than the official travel. There are a lot of dodgy operators out there - they are football fans who know what football fans want - they are also very big in the trade and so get the best aircraft and hotels. They have enough know how as well to rely on them.

I wouldn't think of working with anyone else to be honest - every other major football operator dabbled with Boro last season - all the others failed to deliver at least once only they came through every time.

Robert

Please email me with your name and telephone number and how many will be in your party thanks.

I`m with you + 3 =D>

Good effort Happy.

Could be interested.

I may well be up for this. I can imagine all the independent lads sorting "things out" and getting nowhere. It wouldn't be a bad thing everyone from here travelling together - most folk seem to get on.

Though would it be allowed? Like the Queen cannot fly on the same flight as Charles. Could all posters travel on the same flight? What if it went down? Have you got a contingency plan for this scenario Happy?

I'd be interested in this if it happens.

PS You'll need a big plane though, the board's hardly made up of anorexics is it?

Like the Queen cannot fly on the same flight as Charles.

There will be no Charles on my flight eusa_whistle.gif

I'm making a trip of the first game hopefully, but will prob be on Happy Airlines for all subsequent flights.

Latest news.

We are fast approaching a 'full' plane with the names I have already. As not to be disappointed, send your details to me via email as the thread above stating; name, contact number and how many in your party.

This will be a first come first served basis.

Important message

I will stress this over the coming weeks and indeed when booking flights.

Don't book a flight without first obtaining a match ticket.

Why?

I thought the reason would have been obvious. #-o ](*,)

Ok, leason's learned from Boro last season.

Some booked flights and came unstuck when they where only allocated 900 match tickets which was vastly oversubscribed as demand was high.

Having spoken with Jay C last night - he may well have a block booking coming your way. I think you will do well with this Happy.

I have spoken to the ticket office manager today following my question "Is it possible to block book tickets?".

Basically as this is the first game, every man and his dog will require tickets and they expect only 5% of the capacity of the venue. So if we draw someone with a 12,000 capacity we will get only 600 tickets.

The most important thing was that should we progress, then we have a very good chance of block booking via wways.

*Don't forget though, some will flight out without tickets and sit/stand in the home section. This obviously cannot be recommended by myself or the site and you do so at your own risk.

And will you be operating a computerised no flaws loyalty scheme?

Yes, Banner note paper and a Parker pen with an Imperial mint for loyalty. :D/

Ive got an idea, you could get everyone to fill out application forms, put them in a big sack and forget about them.

Nah. Get everyone queueing down your street drinking, swearing and nipping over to the local 24 hour supermarket to do a bit of shoplifting. It would impress your neighbours the way it impressed to people staying in rooms at the front of the De Vere Whites Hotel. :D (Seem to recall he leant out of his window and ordered us all to be quiet. . . cue the singing then!) :D :D
