Best goals Bolton have scored

2 goals stick in my mind :-

1) Mark Winstanley against Wrexham in the Sherpa van

2) Barry Cowdrill in the epic swindon cup ties that was disallowed

Any others ?

stelios winner at blackburn wen we won 4-3

cantello 35 yarder against cardiff or cambridge - we scored 6

allardyce 35 yarder against orient

Jimmy Phillips v Wolves in the League game when we beat them 5-1. Had a season ticket in the Paddock that year & I'd slagged Jiminhio off every game :-#

Remember an early McAteer goal, he ran through about 4 players and smashed it in - it was before Jackburn and Liverpool had even heard of him.................anyone know who it was agianst?

PB

Regrets - I've had a few

Best goal I have probably seen was Phillips against Palace when we beat them 5-1, first season at the Reebok.

Swivvelled on the edge of the box, and hit a screamer on the volley!

Taggart v Everton - No goal

Kelly v Arsenal (FA Cup) - No goal

Spooner (I think) Spurs - Coca-Cola Cup - No goal

Nolan v Villa - No goal

Plus the others mentioned in this thread which resulted in the ref/liner seeing an infringement. (Or in Taggart's case the linesman NOT seeing a bleeding thing!)

Do you sense a pattern emerging

i remeber a class goal in the first minute v everton for mixu at burnden in the 96-97 season. i never thought he was capable of an overhead kick

Other than the ones already mentioned:

Phil Brown away at Lincoln in the Facup - just because I was right in line with the shot and the top corner and you knew as soon as it left his foot it was going in

and

Super John's header against Wolves (3-0 @ Burnden). He was not supposed to have been playing, and didnt warm up with the other players, then came out about 5 minutes before kick-off to warm up on his own and wave at the Wolves fans :D Think Small was playing left back and put a peach of a cross on Supa's head who arrived on queue, climbed high and planted his header into the bottom corner.

Probably the 2nd best athmosphere I had been in, with the first being in the Playoff semi 2 seasons earlier against Wolves as well. Was it the pay-offs or this 3-0 that it kicked off with Lofty?
