I'm flying to Nice on the Thursday (22nd). What's the best/easiest way to get from Nice to Marseille. Sorry if it's already been covered.

 

Staying in Nice for 2 nights. Looking forward to it. Hope to see some of you there.

mixu, thursday is not the 22nd, so there is no best way to marseille on those dates. anyway, we are on the 07.10 to nice on thurs 23rd and have booked a car from budget for ??40(astra). just over 100 miles but we are staying in marseille after the match.

Well spotted, my friend. 22nd is the Wednesday. I got a rail ticket price for a return from Nice to (....well, Nice) via Marseille and the price was over ??110.00. Trouble is there ars 6 of us. Thing is, a friend of a friend of a friend told a mate of mine who goes in the pub near me, that the wonderful people at wanderersways were organising coaches to and from. Is there anythig in this rumour? For the record, we fly out from Heathrow VERY early Thursday morning (to Nice). We've then got to get to Marseille for the match, then back to Nice the same night. We're also staying on Friday and flying back to Heathrow a lunchtime on Saturday.

You don't get a bed in a Formule 1. You get a 2cm thick mattress!

If it's budget you're after, Hoteles B&B is a better bet. Similar prices to Formule 1, but better rooms ie your own bathroom.

Cheers Johnnyonone. The Voyager for ??80 sounds the best(only) real option. I'll just have to remember to 'forget' my driving licence.

Flying to Nice on the 23rd. Train to Marseille. Booked into Formule 1-Marseille Valentine. Train back to Nice on Friday. 1 night in Nice then home on Saturday.
