right, i've been thinknig about our shite home support in cup games this year but I really cant be arsed checking up a few things, so here goes.......

By my rough count we have played 7 home cup games this year in various competitions.

show me another premiership team who have played more.

these are obviously over and above costs for the 21000 season ticket holders and a possible reason for poor attendances.

add to that the fact that we've (come thursday) taken over 10000 into europe and its obvious that there is only so much money if folks pockets.

Smiffs,

we have actually played 8, yes eight home cup games this season already.

Middlesboro have played 5.

Our average crowd at home in Cup games is 15,622

Boro average 13,084.

Our crowds aren't as bad as it seems.

Looking at the UEFA attendances for this weeks games, ours wasn't that bad. I think every prem team that newly qualifies for Uefa think they are going to get full houses every game, the reality is different - ask Boro

No, see other threads. They raised the price to ??25 for S/T holders!

No, they didn't.

They kept it at ??25 for us members. :D

Same price as league games.

Which is slightly more than a ST holder pays.

There's only one stat that Gartside's inerested in.

Even ignoring concessions the average take yesterday was probably ??25 per person = ??425K

25000 at a reduced take of ??15 per person = ??375k

It annoys me everyone getting on our backs about poor attendances. We have about 21k season ticket holders who cannot afford every game now teams like man u have a waiting list there is no chance every united fan goes to every game its just they have people waiting for the tickets. We are not that big we have a good attendance for league games like a lot of clubs but we dont have a waiting list. So we don't deserve all the stick thrown at us.
