March 19, 200620 yr The 25-year-old joined Charlton in the summer of 2004, but spent the first half of this season on loan at Rangers. He failed to score during his time at Ibrox > think that says it all
March 19, 200620 yr jeffers at his best would be a good signing it'll be a low cost gamble if sam fancies it, why not

March 20, 200620 yr Think it smells more like diouf/davies. Both had commanded massive transfer fees int their time but neither of them could score for toffee and were disliked by their own fans at their respective clubs. queue big sam to turn them into something like the players they had been believed to be. could be a great signing if sam can do the same again. March 20, 200620 yr I thought this is why we had Matt Jansen. One or the other. Not both. aye, cos you can have too many good players
March 20, 200620 yr No risk, but he has the worst attitude ever! we've heard that before, havn't we attitudes and sam seem to not go together for too long
March 20, 200620 yr dont see how he would fit into our team to be honest... will have same problem as borgetti...
March 20, 200620 yr No risk, but he has the worst attitude ever! we've heard that before, havn't we attitudes and sam seem to not go together for too long Sam is good, but I feel Jeffers may be a step too far, Jeffers has played under 3 good managers, Moyes, Curbs and Wenger!
March 20, 200620 yr I thought this is why we had Matt Jansen. One or the other. Not both. Matt Jansen is injury prone so not worth persevering with.
March 20, 200620 yr Not really got an opinion on how good Jeffers is / can be as an individual, however I am worried that Sam thinks we need this type of player? I dont think a 20 goal a season man, just has to play inside the box. I would be more interested in seeing a Roberts/Camera/Ellington/Ricketts/Blake style of player added to our squad as I think we are lacking pace and power thats all. A 20 goal a season man is great but not essential when you have 2 x midfielders in double figures
March 20, 200620 yr Agree with Salford. We want a fast pacy striker to complement the armoury we already possess. I was only suggesting Jeffers or Jansen - don't think we need both. Javi Moreno was a proven goalscorer - but he didn't offer anything we didn't already have - hence he never made an impact at the club.
