Think I asked if YW meant Yorkshire White. My experience is absolutely the opposite to yours. Yorkshire folk I worked with and have met here (about half of Paradise Lost Scooter Club is from there) are obsessed with the War of the Roses thing. Not hard to understand. Lancashire - half the founding members of the football league. Way out in front of every fecker in terms of trophies won. Until recent times, dominated RL. Better at cricket (that one ALWAYS gets em jumping!). Then, of course, we won the War of the Roses (not every battle but the war) and have been beating them ever since. I like to wind em up down here by stating that England adopted the red rose as an emblem because we won. If they'd won the national emblem would be the white rose. April 8, 200620 yr why is it when you whinge at the moment people call you fickle? at the end of the day we are playing poorly with a lack of passion - does not matter where we have come from etc etc this is where we are now and with the team and season we have had it is very frustrating to see it going down the pan at the end I was at Scarboro away & Darlo home for lowest attendance but thinking about that does not give me any comfort in the current state of affairs
