fortune?

Manchester United utility player Quinton Fortune could be handed a new lease of life with Bolton Wanderers next season according to the News of the World newspaper.

The 28-year old South African international will be released from his contract at Old Trafford in the summer and Sunday's tabloid reports claim that the midfielder cum left back will be of interest to Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce.

Fortune joined United in 1999 and has made well over 70 appearances for the Red Devils but a succession of injuries have kept him out of contention during the Reds 2005-2006 campaign.

Bolton have been forced to use striker Henrik Pedersen as a makeshift left back this season whenever Ricardo Gardner has been unavailable so a player of Fortune's experience and utility could well fit the bill.

be a decent signing imo...

I agree, would be a decent squad player, cover for Ricky and able to play midfield.

good player similar to Gary Speed !

good player similar to Gary Speed !

hardly

he'd be quicker on one leg than gary speed

better than some of ours, so a good move

i meant in the way of posiotional play

good player but recent injury problems are a concern

Sign him and we'd have the hardest team in the Prem.

Wouldn't mind Jonathon Fortune from Charlton, he's on a freebie this summer apparently.

Would be a good signing, we've been heavily linked with him in the past.

He can play both at Left Back and more forward. Is pacey, and IMO is decent on the ball.

If we get him i'd be a happy chappy. Need a similar fella to play at right back too!

70 GAMES IN 6 YEARS

NO THANK YOU

Maybe this is your problem......rejects and bargain bin free's are hardly going to push you on further in the Prem!

As opposed to what?? Spending millions and getting nowhere....Al la Charlton, Villa, Newcastle, Middlesbrough (UEFA apart), Birmingham.....

By the way we haven't got millions to piss away, our chairman is a tight red ginger if you hadn't already realised!!!

No but their is somewhere in the middle!

Charlton have maintained consistan mid-table success, they are a great CLub, well run, and dont spend millions and millions, you would be very very lucky to be in the same situation as them!

If only we had big money to buy Neville, Davies, Kroldrup... :D

The above mentioned clubs have signed some real shite with their millions, whilst we have spent hardly anything and out performed them.

I've not been moaning, and never said Everton were shit!! Although there are some on here who do...

But my point was we have out performed Newcastle, Villa & Charlton and the like without spending fcuk all.

Chill out man #-o

You out performed them for one season mate that all, which is now looking like you WELL over-acheived!

You can only wish to be in the all-round position Charlton are in!

Charlton have had loads of top 7 finishes....you have had one...!!!!

Who would you say is the team acheiving consistant success ???

They spend money, but they dont spend loads....they also make money...and back their manager!!

i think a few chill pills are required :-F

Pablo have you a Charlton fascination?? :D

I was suggesting that spending millions doesn't mean shit unless its spent well. As other clubs have proven.
