April 10, 200620 yr Thats what I say. I don't blame Sam or the players at all, Sam can only work with whats at his disposal and looking at our squad, it ain't a great deal. If Gartside would of given the cash he promised I think we would still be challenging for a top 4 finish
April 10, 200620 yr I don't want to be the next Leeds/Leicester/Nottm Forrest by spending money we haven't got. Gartside deserves just as much credit as Sam for getting us where we are and he is doing his best to make sure the club never gets as close to being extinct as it was a few years back. wouldn't mind an abrahmovic-style owner though

I feel Sam could do a lot with 10 million pounds. I highly doubt we'd go under by spending 10 million pounds. It wouldn't do too much damage to our club.
April 10, 200620 yr If we had signed either Yakubu or Prso, both of whom went elsewhere on financial grounds, then I think we would have got Champions League last season. We need to push the boat out to "buy" the goals to take us that one step forward.
April 10, 200620 yr After a fair bit of abuse I thought I would exercise one final right of reply and then retire as gracefully as possible. I am not a JCL I first went in 1969 and have been a season ticket holder since 1992 even though I now live more than 100 miles from Bolton. You're absolutely right if I don't like it I don't have to pay. We talked about it at home and have decided that we wont renew our 4 season tickets next season. We'll pick and chose our games and go to a few more away games. I seen a lot of bad and some great times over the last thirty odd years, but I do not enjoy the way we play football now and that is my opinion and my choice. I fear that many other people are going to make the same choice as me not just at our club but at many others. The Premier League is over-priced, over-hyped and over-rated.
April 10, 200620 yr Are you getting dry bummed by someone at the sh??tbok? You're always defending someone I defend people who I think deserve defending. The former chairman almost bankrupted the club, Gartside saved it. In my book that means he deserves support, not lambasting. I just don't think I've got a lot to moan about at the mo. My first game was Brentford at home, Nicky Spooner scored an OG. Mansfield on a Tuesday night with about 1500 on at Burnden is another big memory. My team is 7th in the Prem and people are pissed off we aren't in the top 5... I can sleep quite comfortably at night, and I'm sure 85 other teams in England would swap with us.
April 10, 200620 yr Some people talk crap on ere! Sack the board, u must be havin a laff! Champions league, u must also be havin a laff! Ok, we may need to spend a bit more on players but the chairman is doin the best he can and as long as he is, im happy with that.

April 10, 200620 yr i think the chairmen should be a lot more honest to the fans and explain how much we have got to spend on players, and what the debt of the club actually is and why the debt gets bigger every year even thought revenue through the premier league is getting bigger every year. then again who the fcuk are we,we mean fcuk all to the club. mister bitter and twisted

The Premier League is over-priced, over-hyped and over-rated. fair dos if the price bothers you, it's a valid point and one which I can't argue with but if it's our style of football that repels you, why attend more away games? as i'd say our lesser performances are more likely to be played away from the reebok, if that's to become the focal point of you're football enjoyment i dare say it will make you even more disheartened than you already are
