We were 1-0 down at half time but had probably the best of it with Vaz Te again falling on his ??rse instead of scoring. We looked dangerous though... and the goal apart they were no better than us.

 

Sam however decided to change back to the same old sh??t with no effective attacking force after half time . He has to take the responsibility for the inept second half performance.

 

If he carries on like this I won't be sorry to see him go to England... especially since I am a Scot.

 

He has done a great job building a team that has played to a system but he seems incapable of changing that system when teams have obviously sussed us.

No doubt, if you were Boro fans, you would have been one of those throwing your season ticket at Maclaren not that long back. I dont see it happening now. Keep the faith.

If McLaren was our manager I would throw more than a season ticket at the clown.

 

As for Sam, I am not saying he is a bad manager just made a monumental blunder today.

Fair enough, but if you ask me, we exceeded expectations last year, and all in all, this season hasnt been a bad season for us if you think back to four or five years ago. Alright we are going through a bad patch, but so long as we build on it and go from here, i am just glad we are now an established premiership football team.

Bottom line is, during this run in the Prem., we have improved position or points tally year on year. First three years was spent almost entirely in the bottom 4 (OK, first season we were top for a few weeks) Fourth and fifth season we have been in top ten consistently. The problem is, we forgot to do positions 9 to 16, you know, that slot they call mid-table obscurity. If we had been there for the last two seasons and then this year got to 7th/8th position we'd all be happy on here.

Last year we exceeded all expectations and finished in a UEFA Cup slot. For too many people this is now the expectation; it shouldn't be . . . yet!

how anyone can even come near to saying sam is "tactically naive" is seriously beyond me, now some of you might disagree, infact, some of you will disagree, but we have finished 8th, and 6th respectivaly in the Premier League, that aint no boys leage, we are talking the best league in the world, that means that we are the 6th best team in the whole of England, and there is only one man who has masterminded the whole thing, and that is big sam, i think some of you forget that we have probably spent no more that 10 million quid on players since we were promoted, now 10 milllion quid to other teams in the prem is pocket money, some of you need remeber the magnitude of that big sam has achived here, also what he has done for us and bolton, and you need respect it, yes, wer on a barron run, but it will come good, just remember boltons first objective, "Staying up" we have done that, anything else is a bonus, we will be in the premier league next season, and we are one of the better teams in the league, just remember that, now i no im gonna get some stick for this post, but i really couldnt give one, as it is my opinion, feel free to disagree...

hes made more right decsions for the club than wrong ones, at times things dont go the way we want them but the one decsion no one would chane with that incredible hindsight would be appointing him as manager and one thing for certain is he is the one who will turn it round

The problem with Sam is he has no plan B.

 

If we are struggling in games with the 433 system,he doesn't know how to change things.

 

Think we need to mix our systems up as teams have worked us out.

This is just our annual season bad spell. Teams haven't worked us out it's just a lack of confidence from our players at the moment. We were saying exactly the same last season when we lost 6 on the bounce.

Also remember 3 of the defeats we have just encountered have come from the Prems top 3.

I wonder if Borgetti got subbed because Terry got a free header for the first? Either he or Davies should have been marking him.

 

Sam was just too hasty with the subs - wonder if he was trying to do a Mourinho with such a drastic change. Difference is that Mourinho brings on Robben and we bring on Ped!

 

WBA and us are both due some luck tonight so I am going for the draw. I've written off 6th spot now - as long as we get 7th and the Inter Toto I will be happy.
