Well Sevilla were the best team we played and I said after being beaten by Marseille that the winner of the Zenit/Sevilla game would win the cup. But with the luck Boro have who knows.  Surely it must run out now.  It was nice to see Hasselbaink get booked for diving.  In my opinion he dived for the penalty against Roma as well.

 

 

Thought that Zenit looked the best BUT we only faced a virtual Sevilla reserve team and they did look good.

 

 

I agree, Zenit looked a good team. We had a very tough group on reflection.

In a nut shell, the afore mentioned rule 1.07 says:

 

If the eventual winners of the UEFA Cup do not qualify for next year's contest their association may ask UEFA to open up another place, NOT at the expense of any other club from the winner's association.

 

So NO, Boro don't get a place from the league.
