BOLTON manager Sam Allardyce has made a ??750,000 bid for Marseille defender Abdoulaye Meite - and wants a deal before he plays for Ivory Coat in the World Cup.

 

Allardyce tabled the cutprice offer for long-term target Meite, who he fears will attract the at tention of bigger clubs in the next few weeks.

 

Meite (above), who can play anywhere in the back four, is ready to agree terms at around ??1million a year to go to The Reebok.
