i would like to see us sign a creative midfielder, malbranque would be my first choice, but he wants big club so that rules us out, dunn would be my 2nd choice but probably to expensive, i know we were linked with Murphy and for the 2 million reported fee i think he may do the job.

i thought we needed a creative midfielder too

but if we had anelka up front then we would rely on him, davies and the supporting attacker more to score and attack together and i dont think the emphasis would be on the midfield to be creative as that would be the front 3s job to

besides campo is back and the range of his passing could well be what we need in splitting open defences

campo was the only player who looked to create with a telling pass, but he is often to deep to make a difference.

was thinking the exact same thing last night, along with how ineffective vaz te can be...

Whilst he hasn't brought much to the team, Vaz Te hasn't done anything wrong in the first couple of games and I suspect that Sam doesn't want to drop him yet for fear of harming his confidence. If he doesn't improve quickly then I'm pretty sure that Stelios will be back in the team sooner rather than later.

Idal Tan is your creative player (if he proves good enough). I think Sam's going quite solid at the moment though, which is good as we're unbeaten so far.

Agreed. Last nights performance was pretty dire to watch but effective. We need to escape from the perception that we are only a hard working, physical and well organised side if we are going to progress.
