Regardless of the entertainment value, tv coverage and food kiosk service the public but are voting with there feet due to one reason....Premier League football is ragging expensive! Its time the big wigs at these PL clubs and the Premier League themselves realised this and made changes before the top tier of English football turns into a sad shadow of its former self.

Blackburn have given Wigan 1,400 seats at ??32 each for the next home game...its no wonder people arent going to Ewood Park for mid table fayre at those prices.

 

Cant see Mark Hughes moaning about the empty seats though,that only seems to happen at Bolton and Wigan.

I have aan idea, if as many who post on here insist, that winning is all that matters and fans go to see winning teams then why not impose a salary cap one million pounds per year. The millions saved could help the clubs lower the cost to say five quid per game. The foreign players would leave and more home grown talent would get their chance. Crowds would be up and everyone would be happy.

while we were on our euro tour (doesnt seen a year ago eh) we discussed ticket prices with fans of various nationalities german ,french,swiss etc , the germans were telling us that they paid an average 200 euros for a season ticket which included entry into home legs of what ever cup competitions they were in.( whats included in our price? free entry to reserve games that are played nowhere near bolton)....and the french folks we met in marseille told us how marseille had tried to put the ticket prices up too much so the fans responded by turning up outside the ground on matchdays to let the team know they had their support still but not attending games until they lowered the prices .

my point was that the fans there have an influence mate ... cant imagine many british fans sticking together to stand up for what they believe in sadly

The thing is though, this isn't just a BWFC issue its a English football issue. There must be something that can be done? But how its done is the big problem. There are enough people that care and feel passionate enough about it but its getting them all working together thats difficult.

 

I just hope that something changes soon, I love the whites and i'll continue going until i'm too old to ragging remember when we're playing at home. But a lot of the buzz has gone, its a ragging shame as we are much worse off because of it. As are the vast majority of clubs in the Prem.

sadly as much as we discuss it, things will never change. gone are the days when people could go get tanked up have a scrap and swear all day long.

 

ticket prices are high because we get to watch players like djorkaeff, jay jay, campo, anelka etc. football will never go backwards. most of the money comes from tv anyway so even if we stopped going nothing would change.

There's no reason clubs shouldn't charge the prices that earn them the most money. If they could fill their stadia at ??100 a ticket then it would be stupid for them not to.

 

The fact is, most grounds aren't full - I just wonder whether the current pricing structure does deliver the maximum revenue possible.

my mate pays 20 quid for a ticket at oldham each match now while i can pay 21 quid to get in at the reebok with my mebership so i dont see how i can complain about ticket prices.
