Dullest Game You've Ever Attended

Featured Replies

The dullest game I ever went to was Preston v Weymouth FA Cup 3rd round 1960? It was foggy and they didn't open the turnstiles until quarter to three because there was some doubt on whether the game would be played. We were stood behind the goal and after the toss up the Weymouth keeper took up his position in front of us. (Homo Alert. saved you the trouble Widnes) About a quarter of an hour later one of the Weymouth players came to tell the keeper that the game had been abandoned and he was the only one left on the pitch. Never saw a ball kicked and we didn't get our money back.

Gillingham home mid 80's think we lost 1-0 zzzzzzzz, mind you was still ' burnden so....

that night match against grimsby when kids went for a fiver the year we got promoted, shocker. Think we drew 1-1 or might have even lost 1-0. Couldnt do nothin but lump the ball and run that night

2-2: Bergsson and Hansen scored.

one that always sticks in the mind as a dreadful game was Orient at home New Years Day mid-late 80's.

Fecking freezing and about as many shots on goal as Saturday.

It was the Rochdale game but the Juventus v Milan Champions League Final beats that.

fulham plenty times at burnden, inc the promotion game

fulham last season

in fact, fulham

fulham, fulham, fulham

full stop

Remember them beating us 3-0 at home in the early 90's - one of their players got a hat-trick and did a cowboy / shooting guns celebration. First time I'd ever seen it.

Torquay 2 - 0 Bolton

Phil Neal got sacked after that - no shots on target and miles away from home !!

It took me 90 mins to drive 8 miles home tonight from work, because Barton Bridge was and still is closed. However, that 90 minute crawl was infinitely more exciting than the recent performances v City and Liverpool.
