Another anomaly is the dreaded yellow box junction.

If you are in a car and waiting to turn right YOU MAY STOP ON THE YELLOW BIT! It is only when the bit of road you are aiming for is full that you don't enter the hatched area.

AND:

What is it with folk who get to the junction where they are turning right and they wait at the stop line. GET INTO THE JUNCTION YOU DAFT COW! At the Pineapple junction I've been know to go round the car which stopped 4 car-lengths short of the actual junction.

Another anomaly is the fire engine parked on double yellows on Bradshawgate on Friday and Saturday night, when there's no fires about.

If this is a real incident, then any collision on a roundabout will go 50/50. If some nobber pulls out in front of you, it's 50/50 and adios no claims bonus FACT etc.

I had some old geezer crash in to me on a roundabout in November, I was in right hand lane coming off at next exit he was in left hand lane wanting to go all the way round the roundabout

Still ongoing he has admitted he was in the wrong lane for his intended exit, but his solicitors have said I could have prevented it - HOW exactly when there was no where else for me to go?

By the way it was Kearsley roundabout for those that know it so you can picture it more clearly as you will know the layout

I was on the way to work so I could pay for my Man to go to the pub and drink as much alcohol as he could possibly drink in one night then I would gladly go and pick him up!!

you should walk to work

explanation rejected

That would mean getting up hour earlier than normal therefore neglecting duties to my man in the bedroom

Doesn't happen when I'm on duty. I think our gaffer is scared of someone recognising him. There is, however, a great hydrant for filling the water tank up just outside what used to be Maxim's.

God im sad for answering this on a saturday neet- but i dont think either has ROW, they are both to each others right, and the only other rule is the one who is turning left has priority ( at least thay have at junctions anyway), so id say- proceed with caution. Besides- half the time people dont indicate on roundabouts so i dont trust anyone on em anyway, and if its classed as a 'mini roundabout' you dont have to signal anyway.

Pah- sod it- just drive on.

As for fire engines conveniently parked up where several drunken semi clad girls may be passing.... theres gotta be some perks to a job where you could get burnt to death at any moment!!

Micky D- Do you find women folk are 'more interested' when they find out what you do for a living? And do you/your work mates use it to get more female attention?

Er...of course you do....

Put it this way; I've had all sorts flashed at me while driving through town in the fire engine. Strangely, the same doesn't happen when I drive through in a car.

I fireman without a fire engine is just a man. End of.
