March 10, 200818 yr Author So then Traf: As I saw sense haven't had a bet for a while, If I place ?25 of matched bets on betfair, they'll very kindly deposit ?50 in my account 24 hours later. How should I best divide my ?25 on your horses? Win, place, or E/W? If it's Betfair: it's win and place, they don't do each way. I'd divide the money, based on the available odds ie put twice as much on a 5/1 horse that you would on a 10/1 shot. As for tomorrow's horses: the one most likely to win is Noland: I'd only recommend a place bet on the other 3.

I knew about the E/W thingy as 2 separate bets, i just call it that as for th'info, thanks
March 10, 200818 yr Author I knew about the E/W thingy as 2 separate bets, i just call it that as for th'info, thanks No problem: but Cheltenham isn't the best time to start betting again IMO. I do less betting at the big meetings. My horses tend to have more success at the smaller events.

I think Afsoun has got an excellent chance in the Champion Hurdle, at a decent price, providing he doesn't freak out as he's prone to do. He did really well to beat Straw Bear last time out at Sandown. It's a really wide open race, though, and a case could be made for almost all of them. Sizing Europe will have too much for Osana on level weights, but maybe Katchit could spring a surprise at 10s... As for Noland, he's not actually come up against anything decent since his return and 9/4 looks far too short. He's definitely worth taking on with Mahogany Blaze or Clopf, who looks an interesting Irish contender.

The grand idea is that i scrape my 25 quid back out, and play some more with their money. i was thinking of a few lay bets as well
