The French star is reportedly ready to quit Paris after slipping out of favour and is keen on another crack at the Premiership following his successful loan spell at the Reebok Stadium in the 2002/03 season.

 

Joey O'Brien may have returned to full fitness following a lengthy absence but Bolton are still keen to sign a new right-back and a January swoop for Mendy has been mooted.

 

The defender, who can also be pushed into midfield, turned down the chance to join Celtic in the summer but would be keen on a switch to the Premiership if it presented itself.

 

Sunderland are also being linked with the player but Wanderers do have the advantage of having him on board in the past.

This would be an outstanding signing imo.

I wouldn't really fancy having him back. I didn't particularly rate him any better than Nicky Hunt - ok going forward but a liability whn it came to defending

If not at the back then he can play on the right wing. We only have 1 winger at the moment, Wilhelmssen. Braaten is not a winger, neither is Nolan who is playing there at the moment, I would love to see Mendy on 1 wing and Willie on the other, that has to be the fastest combination of wingers in england.
