For what it's worth, I think:

 

We most need - At least 1 quality centre half

Money to spend - ?3m max i.e less than everybody else

We'll lose - Nobody that we don't want to

Will Megson attract quality - genuinely don't know

a centre back, and fabregas, but he'll need at change how he tackles

i reckon we'll have a fair bit of cash to spend, and not from any sales.

We need a Sol Campbell figure in the heart of our defence and we'll be laughing.

 

I think we listed somewhere in the region of 16 midfielders back in August that appear to be on our books - so its a sad state of affairs if none of these are capable of filling 3/4 positions.

I would not be surprised to see one or two of our massive midfield squad leave.

 

Hopefully some mad French team will buy Cid of us but I think I am hoping for too much here.

 

The test will come if a big club bid for Anelka. I doubt he will leave as he seems committed to the cause at Bolton plus he will be European cup tied - so he might as well play out the season with us.

We don't know that. Nolan/Speed/McCann are untouchable, apart from the odd game.

Not exactly on recent form, but my fear is losing Jussi! for two reasons, at the moment, i don't think Al-Habsi is ready, also i don't think Megson knows who he wants as his number two GK. I don't think any of our best strikers or midfielders will go, i think Stelios might be reviewing his situation and position within the club, Nolan can go, don't think it'd be a major loss.

To be fair, Megson has only been here a week, so understandable if he hasn't decided who is number two GK yet. As for Al-Habsi not being ready yet, he has been here for two years I believe, when will he ever be ready?
