It was a cracking save, but then he goes and drops a easy cross , jury still out

Jussi hardly a world beater in coming for crosses!

I will accept that

So would you keep Ali in for Sunday?

Jussi is one of the best in the league and league wise we need to be on top form but we all know he is moving on but Al Habsi looked good tonight and may be our future no1 for years to come so do we give him a shot?

Risky. I think Jussi is still one of the best around. While he is here and giving his all, we shoud keep him in

Let's not get carried away with one performance by Al Habsi. Just good to have that warm glow of confidence that we have some seriously competent back up. Jussi probably will sling his hook when his contract expires and AH will get his chance then.

Agreed

Then if he is going why wait till end of the season?

Becasue we are bottom 3 and in a dog fight so should pick the best XI regardless.

Having just seen Ali's half-time warm-ups where he generally fails to kick the ball within 30 yards of Fred Barber I was dubious about him. That and why it took him 18 months to make his debut. But he made some great saves tonight, that one from Ribery was fantastic. He wasn't far from man-of-the-match for me tonight.

But Jussi's done nothing to warrant being dropped. Hopefully the threat of Al-Habsi will help raise his game.

If Jussi won't sign the contract infront of him, then bye bye. He's a cracking keeper, but if he wants to go elsewhere, then let him. Al Habsi looked good tonight, keep him in the side for sunday.

Very impressed with Al Habsi on tonights performance. That save from Ribery was top drawer. Couldn't do anything about the 2 goals.

Without a shadow of a doubt.

Decision time or Jussi - you're either in or out. Cant hold the club to ransom now. Al Habsi is a very good keeper

Al Habsi wasnt that convincing

the only thing that surprises me about some on here is that a player can have one good game and he is a world beater, yes al habsi has potential but he is no jussi, seen him make some howlers, if jussi goes then he is in contention but dont rule out the lad they signed from hungary. had one idiot raving about sinclair the other day and what about the fuss about braaten and alonso remember one swallow does not make a summer or a girlfriend please bear that in mind as for the result fantastic.

I was just about to say the same. Football fans are fickle, non more so that BWFC.

Let's see a few more games for Ali before he is deemed as our new number 1 and the best keeper on earth

well the opposition don't get better that Bayern Munich away!

Yes i would agree! but would have Jussi anyday over Al Habsi.

Though I think people shouldn't get carried away with Al habsi performance, people have to consider what the psychological effect of Jussi not signing a contract is having on the defence and the first team in general. If he isn't 100% committed to the club, and not signing a contract means he isn't, then I think there's a decision to be made. However we can't afford too many changes in defence. We saw against Bayern that right back is now a problem position. I think we're going to have to chance our arm with Sinclair and therefore, for now, we will have to stick with Jussi.

Having said all that, I thought we made a bad mistake in not getting money for Ben Haim, andthe money from Jussi will come in handy. If we're going to cut our losses with Jussi then we have to play either Walker, the hungarian keeper or Al Habsi to give us a chance to assess the need, in the long run, whether we need to purchase someone else.

just got back from munich, was a superb trip,

i keep reading in all papers about this awesome save, i was at the game and can't remember,

then again i asked how long mark van bommel had been playing after 81 minutes and was told he'd been on from the start.

i must have been waisted :drinks: :drinks:

i didn't wash in munich neither

fester by name fester by nature

I once saw Aidan Davidson have a blinder against Tranmere.

Let's get him back, eh?

Yes i would agree! but would have Jussi anyday over Al Habsi.

When Jussi came on the scene , "then" most fans at that time would have still gone for Branigan another great Bolton Keeper

Branigan or Jussi?
