There It Is, Nail In The Coffin Time
I think it's you that's come out with the crap tonight Horwich. I was being tactful. There is nothing stopping Anelka coming back to sign for Chelsea on Monday which your earlier post suggests.

Day 6 In The Anelka Saga
Is this one of your friends that have you this? How do you know? I'm pretty sure he will be going but if he has how much?
-
Matt Taylor
The last I heard he wanted to go to a bigger club.

Another 'Horwich law' is that? Isn't there a law that says it's against the law you coming up with these laws?
-
First Game
I liked the argument that the game should have been free for season ticket holders as the club were playing the reserves.

Not sure thats right. He can always buy another ticket. What if there was an emergency - sickness for example. I myself have come back early from holiday abroad. Don't think anyone can stop the free movement of people. I'm not even sure which law you have in mind.

Luton Taaarrrn
Obviously had more confidence then Prem managers and they had a good result.

There It Is, Nail In The Coffin Time
BTW I see that our club has not mentioned any bids, whereas Chelsea have come out and said they've nade a bid! Suppose it's because they've got the resources.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on Roberts. As far as I'm concerned he's played more than Nugent and scored regularly in the Premiership, Nugent has yet to score regularly. I don't disagree with signing Nugent, but personally I think Roberts is a safer bet. Cetainly I'd preferboth of them to Ameobi that's for sure!

I think Nugent is untested and a big risk. Rather have Saviola or Roberts from Blackburn. I'd hope that the offer is money plus players. It would for example be nice to have say Ben Haim or one of Chelsea defenders / midfield players. That though couldn't have been agreed to day, so can't see players being involved as it would keep Anelka waiting and they couldn't announce it (it would leave too much up in the air - what if one of Chelseas players didn't want to goto Bolton?) I hope they've not excepted 13 -15Million either as it's worth waiting 24 hours just to see what others offer us - Man City are supposed to be interested and Man U might have a cheeky bid yet.

But we turned down the ?12 Million - that'#s just been on Sky Sports. Sit's higher than 12 Million, or at least the total package is. Okay 'the Bulgarian gypsy' (as you call him) is being priced higher, but Anelka has had several other transfers and he's playing at a smaller club and they don't want to sell him, whereas we really wanted to sell Anelka.
-
Why
Not sure about never - that's over dramatic. Ypu never know which Billionaire is daft enough to invest in the club. I'm still hopeful that can happen, even if the rest of you seem content as things are. We certainly blew our best chance for a long time in that final and I'm not 100% certain about Megson and whether he has the nouse to keep us up and in the long run develop us. Only time will tell. Looks like we've lost out on Taylor as Rangers are now after him. Rangers, why can't they find their own players?

Anelka Dropped For Fa Cup Match
You don't believe what you read in the papers do you. "the mail says he was pulled out of the squad at the last minute" - rubbish he never was in the squad, don't let the truth get in the way of a good story though. Sometimes I think some of these papers should be sued for slander. It might make them do their job properly. As for the keeping him for the rest of the season and cup tieing him - again thats rubbish. Megson wanted out of the competition. He played as few of his first teamers that he could get away with and put in a load of squadies. Unfortunately none of them performed and I expect Megson will be moving them on.End of Story.

Well If Wednesday Was Dogshit...
I think people should have seen this coming. Pre match interview Megson said something on the lines of we're a premiership club with premiership players therefore we should win. He went on to say something along the lines that the players and the supporters should be confident of victory. Since most managers who take the competition seriously would not say anything like that, and in fact would build up the opposition, then it seemed to me that the manager, privately, wanted to be out of the competition (especiallly when he has been so gaurded in other interviews). This was confirmed by the side he played. As for the Anelka not playing so he isn't cup tied, come on? he wouldn't have been playing whether he is subject of a bid or not. We've been using this competition as a chance for our second string for years, why are we going to change our policy now? We're supposed to be a premiership club with a good squad. Unfortunatly on todays performance we haven't got a squad. A bleak future awaits - but we might just survive for this year.

January - Results Predictor
We are in our best spell of the season. If you expect us to win every home match until the end of the season, then you're in dream land. We need to pick up points away from home and we haven't shown that we can do that. I come back to the last six matches four of them being away. I'm worried even if the rest of you aren't. At the end of the day there's only three points between us and the bottom. But go ahead lads you live in cloud nine. I though will face reality. Don't get me wrong ~I hope we beat Newcastle. We've only won there once in forty years but hey there's nothing like being optimistic is there?
