Belgrade Phone Bill

?79.20

What fooks me off is that 90% of the bill relates to calls I never made or received.

Gutted. Bob da Plumber accidentally called my number during the match. I didn't answer. It went to voicemail. I got charged 4.36 mins for the call at ?7.00. And then a further 4.36 mins voicemail at ?5.00 - for a message that was totally blank. And I didn't even listen to the voicemail until I was back in the UK. So that is ?12 for nothing at all.

I have another 10-12 instances of similar where someone has called my phone, it hasn't answered. Not even gone to voicemail - yet they've charged me twice for it at ?2.40.

Can this be challenged?

surely they should let the user know this. I know it'll be in the user manual but who the fook reads that anyway?

It's on the website or you can dial the automated customer services plus you get a text telling you the costs when you land in a foreign country, Smiley's just a bit simple

I knew the costs. Just didn't realise I was going to get called by Bob da Plumber for 4 and a half minutes. And get billed ?12 when I didn't even answer!!! Plus my text messaging wasn't working, so I was kinda stuck with having to call people to discuss what I was trying to text them!

Bit like closing the door after the proverbial horse has fooked off but couldn't you buy yourself a cheap phone (Vodaphone do a no frills for ?20. Get it unlocked then buy a local SIM card.

Thanks. Would never have thought of that.

Actually, come to think of it, when I was in Russia the other year (did I mention I had been) - I had the problem of not being able to call people or text. Then someone suggested the above - and bingo! it worked.

Next you'll be advising me to switch my phone off and back on again!

Actually, I was going to advise you to switch your phone off and don't switch it back on again until you get back to Bolton you tight fisted moaning bastard

MOST EASY WAY TO NOT GET A MASSIFF BILL IS SWITCH THE C*%T OFF !
