What fooks me off is that 90% of the bill relates to calls I never made or received.

 

Gutted. Bob da Plumber accidentally called my number during the match. I didn't answer. It went to voicemail. I got charged 4.36 mins for the call at ?7.00. And then a further 4.36 mins voicemail at ?5.00 - for a message that was totally blank. And I didn't even listen to the voicemail until I was back in the UK. So that is ?12 for nothing at all.

 

I have another 10-12 instances of similar where someone has called my phone, it hasn't answered. Not even gone to voicemail - yet they've charged me twice for it at ?2.40.

 

Can this be challenged?

I dont think so. Think the only thing you can do is divert all calls to your answer machine which is what I normally do. (and always forget to un-divert when I come back!!). I don't understand why you were charged for someone leaving a voicemail? what network are you on?

Go and speak to your provider, explain NICELY that you didn't ask people to phone you, you didn't accept the calls and ask them, in any case, isn't the Govt. doing something about the extortionate prices being charged for phone use abroad?

 

You might get at least a part credit. If not, then threaten to take your business to another provider. It'd be even more powerful a threat if you could demonstrate high usage during office hours or that your company will change all their accounts.

I'm now wondering if they have listed text messages that were unsent (they would not go out for some reason) as calls and the responding message saying that the texts had failed as a voicemail? Therefore charging me ?2.40 for every text message that failed to be sent.

Ripped off by the hotel in Munich, some films were billed to the room. Told them I couldn't remember watching Saturday Night Beaver, Ally McFeel or Charlies Anals.

I did try and warn everyone back home to leave us alone. My phone was going mental receiving texts and calls.

I've already said, go in to your phone provider shop and play holy shit with them. They have the authority to credit some or all at their discretion.

surely they should let the user know this. I know it'll be in the user manual but who the fook reads that anyway?
