That's a little harsh, and I am not one of the Allardyce apologists on here. What we achieved from 1999 onwards is pretty much unprecendented. He did run out of ideas but we maybe there is only so much you can do with such a relative lack of resources.

The last 18 months of the fat Sam era were awful to watch, even when we won.

I feel no bitterness towards the man, but I hope him and his son contract a serious illness that kills them very slowly and very painfully.
