scoobydoo Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Bayern Munich are willing to let Lukas Podolski leave the club on loan, in a change of heart that could prompt Manchester City to make a bid. The Germany international has fallen down the Bavarian club's striking pecking order this season, having to play second fiddle to the likes of Miroslav Klose and Luca Toni. Podolski is thought to be worried about his prospects of being called-up to Germany's European Championship squad given his lack of playing time this term. Bayern had initially been reticent to sanction Podolski's exit, but general manager Uli Hoeness now concedes a temporary parting of ways could benefit both parties. He added: "I want to help him to make it to the European Championships. "And if we loan him out and everything goes well, we have done everything right. Exit possible "Then we have got him games and he comes back on July 1." Bayern boss in-waiting Jurgen Klinsmann is known to be an admirer of a player he worked with during his days as coach of the national side and he would be loath to allow a permanent departure. However, it does now look as though Podolski could be spending between now until the campaign's close away from the Allianz Arena.

Guest squidgy66 Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 no good for us, he's cup tied for the UEFA Cup Would that stiill be true if they "did a Campo on him" and not name him in the team line-up that Bayern sent to UEFA?

wanderer13 Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 What about this Toto Tamuz we've been linked with? Does anyone know if he is any good? I'd rather gamble on a rising talent for a couple of million than pay over ?5million for an over priced average player Is it me or is Anelka starting to look cheap!!

What would he gain coming to bolton enjoying our free flowing razzle dazzle football ezperience ??? if the article is to be beleived bayern don't want to sell and he doesn't want to leave but he wants to play in order to get in germany's euro squad and klinsmann fancies him for next season so a loan would suit all concerned unless massive or these 4 wops want him on loan, which I suspect they won't, then a loan maybe his only option given a better quality of striker will be available in the summer than in january and possible at more reasonable prices then a loan deal would suit us that's what he and we would have to gain i don't think it'll happen, but i think that answers your question
