I respect Beckham for what he has done for England this this 100 caps lark has got nothing to do with football and everything to do with the Beckham PR machine. It annoys me that instead of talking about Capello's first squad as a country we are reduced to giving Beckham the headlines yet again. Beckham wants this as another achievement so that his brand with have extra cache when he retires putting him up there with some of England's football legends (which is a bit undeserved if you ask me) We should be asking who is going to be the new captain? Do we think Bentley can make the grade or is SWP and Richards good enough? Enough of Beckham, he's had his time in the sun and now there is a new generation and new manager who don't need his name casting a shadow over everything they try and do.
