Bwfc's Supporter Strategy

Much has been made of Megson and his hand in our demise

But just think where we may be if the stewarding had been sorted out, the ticketing was more reasonable (?38 in upper tier yesterday), an atmosphere had been created and the club had done more to encourage people to follow the Whites. Just think if much of what have been put forward on sites such as this had been implemented over the last 2 years

The 45,000 at Sunderland yesterday may have made such a big difference to their season. Their team is no better than us but maybe the fans and the atmosphere at the SOL has pulled in those extra few points (they are shite on the road)

Maybe when/if PG and the Board reflect on the 2007-08 season, I wonder if this 'oversight' has been as great as appointing Megson

The short sighted ?1.50 transaction fees and pissing people off with banning orders for stretching your legs/having a fag may have costed the club and Davies millions

Hopefully, new faces will appear at the club next season and sort out these issues

If we go down, maybe BWFC should follow Charlton's offer of free season tickets in the Prem, if the club is promoted at the first attempt.

i can see it now, bolton miss out on promotion and it'll be gartside's doing so he doesn't have to give away free season tickets

The fans to blame?

I know the usual bunch will do all they can to blame their own (I don't think they've got many friends).

But how are we to blame for prices, stewarding and the overall sh?tness of the matchday experience at the Reebok? I don't recall the fans having any significant input into the way the club is run?

Everything about it is w?nk....I see the almost coffin-dodgers are having a pop at the ESL kiddies again.....but they get harrassed every f?cking game & still come back - fair play to them.

We're a club losing money even with the telly dough....and we're losing fans too.....who's to f?cking blame for that then?!

Only a sad c?nt blames their own.

who is blaming the fans.

this is about how the fans are treated by the club. i think.

if anyone is balming the fans they are ragging dumb gary nevilles...the people blaming the fans not the fans themselves.

?5 to park your car - park on asda or get the bus/train

the ?1.50 transaction fee - dont use your credit card then,

the hopeless 'online' ticket system - never had real problems with it,

the Boro fiasco - anyone who still uses that as an excuse not to go is obviously just making up reasons not to go to save face.

the Lisbon youth team - youth team? 6 internationals with the rest U21's,

the orange warriors - don't sit in the ESL then if it's that big an issue to you,

the 8-1-1 at home to dross - thats just bollocks and you know it,

?38 a ticket - yet again, sit somewhere else for those 4 matches it's cheaper.

Surely this idiot works for the club....I can't believe he's real.

why because i'm not a bitter depressive who takes every opportunity to moan at the club?

i gave ways to combat the problems SH was having.

explain why you disagree with what i was saying?

how about if i said it like this instead

?5 to park your car - yes i agree ?5 is ridiculous bu as a helpfull hint if you park on asda it's free or get the bus/train if you live locally as it is cheaper.

the ?1.50 transaction fee - most ticket booking places charge extorionate booking fees however dont use your credit card pay by debit card and save the ?1.50

the hopeless 'online' ticket system - it is poor however i have never had real problems with it, but it is a bit basic

the Boro fiasco - anyone who still uses that as an excuse not to go is obviously just making up reasons not to go to save face.

the Lisbon youth team - It would've been nice to see the club try to win things how ever to say we played a youth team is a bit far fetched we played 6 full internationals with the rest having represented their country at U21 level.

the orange warriors - Whilst i agree they can be c?nts may i sugest that you don't sit/stand in the ESL then if it's that big an issue to you as elsewhere people tend not to have issues with them,

the 8-1-1 at home to dross - thats just bollocks and you know it.

?38 a ticket - It can be ?39 a ticket which is a fooking rip off and prices need to be lowered across the board andquickly. a sugestion until then is to sit somewhere else for those 4 matches it's cheaper but still far too expensive.

Come on... don't sit in a stand if you don't want to be abused by stewards? Really?

There's a lot of small factors adding up to a bigger problem...and not being addressed...

the stewards are c?nts we know that we've told the club and nothing seems to be happening.

If the behaviour of the stewards in the ESL is the reason you dont want to go how about sitting somewhere else, perhaps the NSL with the Walkden mob, cheaper tickets too.

Edit:

Oh and i agree there's lots of things that need to be addressed, ticket prices, over zealous stewarding etc etc

but there are ways around said problems

This may be a simplistic answer BUT

a ) why should I?

b ) I like the view from ESL

c ) I don't like the view from NSL

Why the fcuk should we sit somewhere else just because some out of work fcuking retard wears a yellow coat and gets a hard on because he can boss people about and get ?3/hr and watch the match for free. You don't see the tw4ts going into the away end to tell them lot to sit down they would rather have a pop at the young lads because it makes them feel superior (fcuking kiddie fiddlers) you didn't see any of the shithouse fcukwits helping out when it went off in Madrid

Just saying like

i gave ways to combat the problems SH was having.

Not what I am having, just saying a list of the reasons people may give for not going. Some are poor I agree, but all these things chip away at the fans, especially those who do not live locally

?5 to park your car - yes i agree ?5 is ridiculous bu as a helpfull hint if you park on asda it's free or get the bus/train if you live locally as it is cheaper.

I live 200 miles away and train is both expensive, and unreliable. Used to park for free on the bank, now use the one by aerospace ?3, but if its pissing down, or the M6 has made me late, I have no choice but to go on the club car park

the ?1.50 transaction fee - most ticket booking places charge extorionate booking fees however dont use your credit card pay by debit card and save the ?1.50

The booking fee applied to all booking not made in person no matter how you paid. Was meant to cover postage even though they also wanted you to send a SAE

the hopeless 'online' ticket system - it is poor however i have never had real problems with it, but it is a bit basic

Can't be used by non ST holders for most games

the Boro fiasco - anyone who still uses that as an excuse not to go is obviously just making up reasons not to go to save face.

Hardly. I was lucky, PG sorted me out. However, had I been a long standing fan who missed out due tot he clubs idiocy, i might have walked away. I know some who did

the Lisbon youth team - It would've been nice to see the club try to win things how ever to say we played a youth team is a bit far fetched we played 6 full internationals with the rest having represented their country at U21 level.

If you think this was anything like a full strength side, or one capable of scoring a goal, you are a fool

the orange warriors - Whilst i agree they can be c?nts may i sugest that you don't sit/stand in the ESL then if it's that big an issue to you as elsewhere people tend not to have issues with them,

Again, no problem to me, but when 5-10 fans are ejected each game, some are banned, others think why bother. Again, i know of people who have been bannned

the 8-1-1 at home to dross - thats just bollocks and you know it.

Must be just the games i attend then. Playing for a 0-0 under FSA and under Megson is not entertainment and the biggest reason for falling crowds in my opinion. Those who are bored yet still spend ?30 a week are brainwashed idiots. If you still enjoy it, then great, but if you go and come away feeling robbed everyweek, more fool you

?38 a ticket - It can be ?39 a ticket which is a fooking rip off and prices need to be lowered across the board andquickly. a sugestion until then is to sit somewhere else for those 4 matches it's cheaper but still far too expensive.

Agree, you can get slightly cheaper for the big games. But when you pay ?40 in petrol, ?5 for car parking etc, then the extra few quid on a seat is enough to put you off

F?ck me - you're a mods wet dream - I'm starting to think you're a Bury fan on here coz you're own team is even worse than ours.

Stewards are bullying ?rseholes wherever you are - you sit with your f?cking grandad, so it's no wonder they don't bother you.

You defend the club for f?cking everything.......'it's not Megsons fault'.....'well tickets are more expensive elsewhere blah blah blah'

Seriously - you either work for the club or you're one of them bed-wetting numpties who goes running to steward when somebody stands up :good:

Now I know you think you are being funny, but it's the constant sly digs at us like that that are heading to the site's ultimate demise. You really are walking on thin ice.

You can give but can't take, Mr Greek.

On this site you've abused more than most :good:

As for the thin ice....lucky I'm slim :p

Come on Frank, you've got to admit your comment on us all moving to the North Stand if we don't like the aggressive, ignorant stewarding in ESL, was a piss poor one. I credited you as better than that.

maybe it was.

I agree with the stewards being c?nts and that they need sorting and fast.

Perhaps a system to report abuses of power

However if you still want to attend the game and not get hassled by the stewards my suggestion was to sit elsewhere. for example if you still wanted the craic to sit in the NSL with the Walkden mob or if you want the view the WSL.

Not ideal but for every complaint there is a way round it that we shouldn't have to do.

I was in a box yesterday and can confirm the stewards are a little older and only have orange tabards (& not coats) on BUT have the same c?ntish* attitude as the usual f?ckwits I see in ESL.

*I may well have just made that word up BUT you all know exactly what it means.

look...the original point was that the club alienated the fans on a number of issues over a number of years...result crowds are down and the atmosphere is poor, do you agree yes or no? your excuses are petty and its not just one of things that would put someone off - its a cumulative effect.

i missed about 2 home games 2003-2006 (and had a s/t for 8/9 seasons before that) but by the end i was getting rather tired of-

45 minute catering quest

teamcards not working

being threatened to be chucked out of East stand upper back row for standing up for 2 mins

40 minute que at ticket office on matchday

?6 to park on a car park that takes an hour to get out of

standing in the rain for an hour at horiwch parkway after the game

not getting one of the clubs 33,000 for the carling cup despite having a s/t and a voucher from every round

etc, etc

too expensive for mates to afford

our family had 6 season tickets for the first 7/8 seasons at the reebok, this season the same 6 have probably been to 10 home games between them

and i bet that story could be repeated 1000 times
