Our English Pride

"My ENGLISH Pride I will not hide.

My ENGLISH race I will not disgrace.

My ENGLISH blood flows hot and true.

My ENGLISH people I will stand by you

Through thick and thin till the day we die

Our ENGLISH pride stands so high."

he's a c?nt and should be shot, same goe for anyone who agrees with him.

however i don't think his ilk will manage to get carols banned and flags made illegal.

They are hardly used inthe same context are they? You know that.

No go areas? Don;t know about that - I wouldn't like to walk through Moss Side in the dark, but equally I wouldn't want to walk through Breightmeit in the dark.

Oh, right - it's a 'context' thing is it? There was me thinking it was just plain old clear, concise and descriptive terminology being stifled by the politically correct.

Look beyond Bolton and Manchester. I have a good mate here from Bristol who has some stories to tell about a certain area of that city.

I take your point about walking through Breightmet but you aren't excluded because of your white face though, eh?

people i KNOW in oldham have been made to remove flags..

shall i get em to post on here or its all lies eh

your a crank

how big was said flag, where was it hung H&S and planning will probably have had it removed not the 'pc police'

everyone can put a spin on things, left or right..

your argument today is it didn't happen to me personally so it didn't happen..

so by that reckoning, innocents aren't being killed in iraq eh..

Course it's about context - you know that as well as I do. It's not a word used in a descriptive way is it?

During one of the cricket world cups, a friend of mine was asked by the Police to remove his England flag. His next door neighbour with a Pakstani flag hanging outside was not asked to remove his !!!!

This happened on Hawthorn Rd, Deane.

William - what happened with your mate in Oldham then? In what context were they told to remove their flag?

they were asked to remove the flag for fear of inciting more racial hatred..

is that right?

how can it be offensive to fly the flag of the country you live in?

try it in asianstan could you imagine how many effigies would be burned in retaliation?

size etc probably had a lot to do with that as well as how it was hung etc.

yes people are asked to take flags down etc but not because they're the gross of st george but because they're unsafe.

if displaying the flag of St George was a criminal act why is the pub up the road from me allowed to have it's gable end painted like one?

Not in this instance, the Police Officer said something along the lines of " If someone puts your windows through, don't come ringing us"" FFS

A bloke in Letchworth (as reported in the local rag) was made to take down his St Georges Flag............it was attached to a flag pole that he didn't have permission for. He now has said flag hanging out of his front bedroom window. Apparently, somebody had complained about the flag-pole and "unsightly flag" hence the council had to act. I'm not sure the race or creed of the person who complained though..............it might just have been a busy-body with nothing better to do, than soembody who deemed the flag offensive

so it DOES happen but its all about health and safety..

cheers for clearing that up..

yup, flags over certain sizes etc need planing permission as they are classed a advertisments. stupid i know but thems the facts.

oh and there's 3 St georges flags visible from my kitchen window hung on various houses around the estate and they've been there for at least the 18 months i've lived there.
