always knew it held more than they said.

quality turn out :yahoo:

Aye, but Sunderland brought 15,000

I think they were quoting the crowd from when we beat Sunlan in the seventies 2-1!! ..Ahhh good times

For me, the are the best times; 8 years in the top division, Euro Tours, beating that lot at home and, perhaps, we start looking up again.

They could have. The Sunderland I was with yesterday said they had 14500 applications for tickets for the game. They were impressed with our crowd, best atmosphere at the Reebok for a while.

and smug nolan but their is some truth in that i thought he put his all into that game yesterday, battled from start to finish and a great determination to win the ball for the goal. and its looking like our win over the scum is keeping us up at the moment and keeping them from winning the league. well done you white men! great atmosphere

I didn't think he got into the game. Was his usual shouting and pointing self.

Agree with the atmosphere. It went a little quiet midway through the first half but it picked up.

Probably the best we've had in the league this season. Impressed with the Sunderland fans too.

Just set-up the first goal, we obviously need a new captain

I thought Nolan was quality yesterday. He was everywhere, won the ball back constantly, controlled the midfield, and set up the goal very well.

It is no coincidence that we are a much better team with him in it.

I'm not denying that, our record is considerably poor without him but I think he often gets praise he doesn't deserve.

I understand that, but I do think that he does a lot more work that goes unoticed then he used to. One example was yesterday, he ran half the length of the pitch to put pressure on their defence, with the ball ending up being cleared poorly to one of our players setting up an attack for us.
