Very strange signing, but i was hoping we had seen the last of Fowler. His record against Bolton is pretty good if memory serves me right.

To make this your first signing as the new manager would set alarm bells ringing if I was a dingles fan.

Having spoken to the youth team coach who has spent the best part of pre season so far on the pitch next to Paul Ince et al Robbie Fowler is only training with the club to maintain / improve fitness at Brockhall.

This is very common amongst players without a club who move back close to where there home and family are.

Last season Michael Rickets and Andrew Cole were two players who did this whilst looking for a new club / loan deal.

Fowler will be attending the training camp in Germany before any further decision is made
