On't th'east lancs at Walkden, 06.43 am FFS I weren't even awake properly.

tell them the walkden whites, were chasing you.

so we could get to H Q for 7 bells

I'd like to thank this thread for making me slow down rather than speed up on amber at those very same lights today.

JUST A POINT OF ORDER, IF IT WAS THE ONES HEADING FROM TYLDESLEY TO MANC :pardon:

NOT MUCH TO ARGUE WITH

BUT......

IF ITS THE OTHER ROUTE, THE CAMERA IS HIDDEN BEHIND A DIRECTIONS SIGN .. I BELIEVE,

AND THAT MAY BE ILLEGAL

sorry for the caps, but i can not re/type this

Amber signal

(e) the amber signal shall, when shown alone, convey the same prohibition as the red signal, except that, as respects any vehicle which is so close to the stop line that it cannot safely be stopped without proceeding beyond the stop line, it shall convey the same indication as the green signal or green arrow signal which was shown immediately before it;

If he sped through the lights while they were on amber he could be committing two offences.

It is against the law to go through on amber and if his speed was over 30mph that is another offence.

'kinell Zozzy, how bad are you trying to make it, I was doing 42 mph (so it says on the letter) but the East Lancs is a 50 mph road :pardon:

So, tell them you were travelling at 50, made an attempt to stop, realised you weren't going to stop before the stop line so accellerated again . . . as the photo will prove your 'onour!

Have a look at the photo, you will see if your brake lights were on, if they were you can prove you considered stopping but then considered it unsafe. Also look at the road conditions, if it was wet you have more justification for not being able to stop safely.

If your brake lights are off you've already decided to proceed as this option was safer.
