January 22, 200917 yr Got a ticket through the post today from GMP Central Ticket Office, they said I 'failed to comply with a traffic light signal (camera). Can I demand to see the photo from the camera, I'm sure it were on amber
January 22, 200917 yr My guess is that if you recall the incident then you probably, in reality, also know that you took a chance and maybe, just maybe, there was a little bit of red in that amber light. Obviously I wasn't there but have seen the aftermath of accidents at junctions. In almost every case, where the driver is still consious or even alive they're usually pretty sure it was an amber light. Amber means stop, by the way.

January 22, 200917 yr Tell them the car behind had a bloke in it who had once threatened to kill you. You decided it was better to risk going through the junction late than risk he recognised you and followed you home.

January 22, 200917 yr Got a ticket through the post today from GMP Central Ticket Office, they said I 'failed to comply with a traffic light signal (camera). Can I demand to see the photo from the camera, I'm sure it were on amber Got a ticket about 12 months ago, still got it somewhere, with an intent to take legal action. January 23, 200917 yr Amer actually means - 'get ready to stop' and if there is a car up your backside and you cant stop then you are advised to go through to prevent an accident. i.e. slam on and the guy behind will be up your jacksy, so go through. I'd appeal.
January 23, 200917 yr Say you were sneezing heavily due to a bad cold 100% you'll get off with it or I'll pay the fine for you Well I won't, but that should work.

I'd appeal. You're wrong! You might think you're right but you are definately wrong! Quote the Highway code: Amber means STOP at the stop line. You may only go on if the amber appears AFTER you have crossed the stop line or are so close to it that to stop may cause an accident. The camera operates AFTER the red light appears so two or three seconds of amber light is ample time to stop.
January 23, 200917 yr Tell them you were busy drinking a pint, having a wank and ordering a pizza on the phone, so unfortunately didnt see the lights.

January 23, 200917 yr There's the problem. Lot's of people do. The worst lights for it are the ones coming off St Peter's Way at the junction with Turton Street and Topp Way. I've been on a green light out of Topp Way into Turton Street and there are still cars coming North out of St Peter's Way! If I wasn't such a soft arse I'd go and get side swiped and land myself some whip cash.
January 23, 200917 yr Author Where did you get done? Was at at the lights near the Concert Inn? On't th'east lancs at Walkden, 06.43 am FFS I weren't even awake properly.

January 23, 200917 yr Outline, in no uncertain terms, that you are sick of paying the price of this inequitable bureaucracy, that you have had it "up to here" and that thy should, in broad terms, shove their health + safety shite up their well cushioned arses Let the workers work.
January 23, 200917 yr ahh right, mate of mine got done at the lights near the concert a couple of year back - he said he was sure it was on amber when he sped through it If he sped through the lights while they were on amber he could be committing two offences. It is against the law to go through on amber and if his speed was over 30mph that is another offence.
