Its slightly unfair to place the entire NHS in the same bracket as this example. From my current dealings with the NHS, my experience have been first rate.

First rate, as in: at least you're still alive?

first rate as in from going to the GP 3 weeks ago, i'm gonna be having open heart surgery in the first 2 weeks of april. As I said, first rate in my opinion

That's quite impressive.

I'd like to wish you a speedy recovery, too.

Speedy recovery, will the streets be safe?

personally i found the NHS good on the whole when they dealt with my father. He nearly died the night he went in and they did all they could and got him going again. he even made it back into a normal ward which seemed unlikely. You will find bad experiences everywhere. You rarely hear people bragging about what a good experience they had even if that is the case. The odd person is a bit pushy and doesnt seem to care but you have to remember dealing with some of the morons they have to everyday must take its tole.

incidently they held a ceremony last sunday for the patients who died in ITU last year and anyone who thinks these people don't care need to take a long hard look at themselves. all nurses who could turn up did. which is fair cop in my book.

sadly the above story will only add more pressure to the NHS

I dont think that they do a bad job they do well considering the shite they have to contend with, I think systems are flawed and not enough is done to help the doctors and nurses, its just a sorry state of affairs when something is highlighted in such a way where 400 folk may have needlessly died as a result of bad management somewhere, a mate of mine's dad heard a heart attack shortly after xmas and was superbly looked after and I do not in any way discount what nurses and docs do, it aint there fault.

The NHS is costing the tax payer too much money. We haven't got enough money to sustain a top level service. It is only a matter of time before more privatisation/fee paying healthcare is brought in through the back door.

Nothing will be mentioned about this by the politicians until after the next General Election.
