Anyone bank with Barclays?

Apparently they're sending me something called a PinSentry - a little hand held device to put a pin into if I want to buy online...

I assume it plugs into whatever computer you're at, at the time?

Seems inconvenient to me

Anyone know about it?

I have one, it's only for logging into online banking and it's a fucking ballache. You have to stick your card in, tap in your PIN and it gives you a code. Means I can either use online banking at home, at work or carry the fucker around with me.

And the technology behind them has been compromised.

That's a bite from me then.

sure we have something similar for our business account with HSBC - but I might be talking a load of sh?te.

A nuisance, but apparently enhances security.

Nationwide as the same thing

RBS have one, it's known as a card reader. Looks like a little calculator.

It's a bit of a pain having to use it when setting up accounts and the like, but I suppose if it's safer, then it's probably worth it.

Carlos is rights, the security as been compromised, just a simple alogirthum.

I have now ?0.00 in my Barclays since they gave a Pin Sentry 18 months ago.

Bag-o-shite.

Type pinsentry hack in google.

I despise banks.

I was working nights a few months back and someone was going along torching banks on Hammersmith Broadway at random. It was very satisying watching Barclays go up in flames on CCTV. ::lol::

Daft fcuker walked into the local nick straight afterwards and gave himself up :nea:

i have one, and yeah same problem, you either leave it at home or at work.

they are clever little fuckers though!

Put any cc or debit card into the thing and enter your pin.

Good way of checking it if you aren't sure if your PIN is reet, better than going to a cashpoint and chancing it snatching the card :good:

It is an utter pain in the bottom I'm afraid
