I used to go lane swimming a couple of times a week until I moved over here. Cost about about ?3 a time or something, anyway my mate has just informed me its now free to anyone in Wigan. Is this the same all over in the country? I thought we had a credit crunch and the goverment had no money? now they are providing free swimming for anyone?

Theres a minimum age for lane swimming, most probably for that reason.

Probably an attempt to 'wash' some of the locals.
